I contacted the Tygerberg branch and they dont do Fertility there anymore. Only at Vincent Palotti. I am with Dr Slabbert who use 2 be at Vincent but started his own practice in Panorama. His rates are the same.

I had surgery for my severe/stage 4 endo at Aevitas fertility specialists at Vincent Pallotti last month. They also have a branch at Tygerberg Hospital, which is a state hospital - so maybe she should give the hospital there a call and see what they offer in terms of endo surgery?

I have so much understanding and compassion for your SIL.
I also suffer from Endo and will be going for major surgery next month. I really want a baby, but in addition to that, living with Endo is starting to drastically affect my life.

I have been missing work when I have my period. The only thing that helps for the pain is Nurofen for Period pain. Tell her to try it.

Hi ladies

My sister-in-law is 25. She was diagnosed with severe endometriosis last year while she was living overseas. She had surgery there, then moved back home. She was told she would need more surgery further down the line. She has been home for a few months. The endo is making her life difficult. She's in pain all the time, she can't sleep at night and she's depressed. She doesn't have medical aid so she can't afford to see a gynae or a specialist. Her family can't help financially either. She is not currently TTC (not for a long time still) but would like to have children one day. Right now she needs a plan to make her life bearable again. Does anyone have any advice? She lives in Cape Town.
