Endometriosis

@kayla - I honestly wish i had operated a year ago when my cyst was first found, however my Dr at the time was of the opinion it was going away. I saw a new gynae this month, she booked me in for a lap to remove the then 5cm cyst and she then discovered stage 4 endo. During our visits she didn't expect endo at all, considering my age,etc. If she hadn't done the lap she wouldnt have found the endo, it is so very difficult for them to diagnose on a scan. If your cyst hasn't gone when you return then please allow her to do the surgery and then she can also have a look around and see if anything else is out of the ordinary. I am sadly now sitting with a blocked tube on a healthy ovary and an open tube on a damaged ovary with little hope of conceiving naturally. Im not trying to scare you but please don't mess around with cysts and suspected endo, catch it as soon as possible. I had symptoms similar to Jooste, including large clots in the last few days of my cycle along with extreme pain. Wishing you the best of luck hun!

So I went to the doctor on Monday.

She did not even mentioned endometriosis. I have a large cyst on my right ovary. If it is not gone by the 8th she will have to remove it for it has already ruptured partially. She actually wanted to operate immediately, but I asked for conservative treatment first.

She says the painful intercourse is just due to my body that changed after birth and I need to see a physio for that. I am not convinced because I had the problem before birth. It has been going on for about 2 years, I doubt I will would have had a bleeding cyst for over 2 years.

Maybe this is all just in my head.

I am seeing the doctor on monday. My symptoms sounds similar. Will let you guys know what she says

I had very specific symptoms:
- diaree and bloated during AF's arrival each month
- pain during intercourse (not always)
- brown spotting for a couple of days before AF's arrival
- extreme pain the first two days of AF (only Brufen in high doses made me the get through the day)

Then the fertility specialist did an ultrasound during one of my menstrual cycles (when AF was visiting) and he showed me the inflammation all around my uterus. I had a LAP in Oct 2010 and Stage 1 Endo was diagnosed and removed. The symptoms dissapeared. It slowly re-appeared after about 6 months. I had another LAP in Jan 2012 and was then diagnosed with Stage 2 Endo. It was worse than before and was mainly due to all the fertility treatments I had in between the two LAP's. The hormones stimulates Endo growth.

I then fell pg via IVF and BF exclusively for 10 months. Fell pg naturally when our first born was 9 months old and BF him until 13 months. Fell pg naturally when he was 13 months old, but unfortunately miscarried last week. The specialist explained that the back-to-back pg and the BF helped in keeping the Endo from growing and hence my chances for natural conception is higher. I also have not experienced any endo-type like symptoms ever again since being pg.

Can I private msg you? And how do I do that? I googled my symptoms and I think I might have it. But I made an appointment with my gynea anyway for the end of the month. If it is not that, there is definitely something going on.
