2kidmamma - I buy new school bags, clothes and shoes every year whether they need it or not. But I was prepared to buy Kayla new school shoes mid year, but her shoes are still really fine. She's also only got one dress, one jersey etc. We wash it in the afternoons if it's dirty. She's got 3 white shirts for winter though.

My daughter is 4 and needs a new school bag at the latest at the begining of every year. By the middle of the year she actually needs it but I refuse to buy one every six months.

JOLI - Maybe Kayla can give Connor a call and explain how she does it. I have even taken Connor's school bag and has the edges industrially strengthened ... seriously .... this is my life .... maybe Kayla and Connor can become on-line buddies and she can teach him in the ways of not-totally-destroying-shoes/clothes ....

I guess I'm lucky. Kayla's been a darling. Still wearing the same school shoes and using the same school bag since beginning of the year.
