PART-3
The thymus gland of children aged between 12 and 14 years is now twice as big compared to birth. At adulthood, the thymus gland now starts to shrink again, to the size at child-birth.
Antibiotics can prevent the thymus gland from growing, therefore causing immune problems in the early life of children with permanent catarrh and head colds. Antibiotics also play havoc with adrenal gland function causing more cortisol instead of cortisone to be secreted, implying continuous inflammation of ears, nose and throat, sore throats, tonsillitis, chest infections and even pneumonia. And we also know that antibiotics also open a can of worms (excuse the pun) in terms of proper digestion and many other side-effects.
Mothers are bombarded daily with advertisement in the media to give your child its winter protection with a flu vaccine. The very vaccination that is supposed to protect your child lays your child’s immune system bare to the flu. Continuous suppression of catarrh in your child can lead over the next two or twenty years to pneumonia, emphysema, lung infections, or (bronchial) asthma. If you suppress the mucous from colds and flu you also suppress the other impurities in the nasal & sinus cavities. This in turn can also lead to severe frontal headaches and pressure around the eyes, which can lead to a trip to your optometrist for you or your child due to bad vision, with trapped mucous being the problem 90% of the time, not bad eyesight (symptom). How many children have you not seen with glasses but also with their mouths half open because they cannot breath through their noses due to bad nasal congestion and mucous?
Very important to note: if you take antibiotics for relief from sinusitis and mucous, you suppress mucous back into the Eustachian tube leading into the ear. Today it has become common practice to have grommets in the ears of children to assist with the congested pipes in the ears and accumulated impurities that lead to middle ear infections, perforated eardrums and ear (hearing) related problems. This can also lead to allergies of the environment, such as dust, pollen, grass and many more.
Finally, tonsillitis is a sign that the body is hoarding toxicity, of any kind. It is not a time to have your child’s tonsils removed, but to address general toxicity, including mucous in your child’s body. As you know, the tonsils are in fact lymph glands that assist in trapping and cleansing the surrounding area of toxicity. From tonsillitis, progressive deterioration leads to a sore throat and bronchitis.
A cough is the body’s natural defence in trying to rid the upper bronchial tubes of catarrh. Do not give your child an antibiotic or chemical cough syrup, as it will suppress the cough and force the catarrh back into the bronchial tubes that will within a few days/weeks lead to another infection, possibly worse than the previous.
Some of the most popular medicines work by suppressing the cough centre in the medulla of the brain, but there are also other centres relating to the heart, lungs, and digestion at the cough centre in the brain, and a drug cannot isolate and suppress just the cough centre without affecting the other vital centres in the same brain area. By stopping the cough and mucous drying-up, what you are really doing is encouraging abnormal scar tissue that can eventually lead to fibrosis of the lungs or wherever catarrh settles (e.g. cystic fibrosis of the lungs).
Bronchitis usually deteriorates to asthma and wheezing and emphysema and (lung) cancer from the final, degenerate stage – almost the point of no return. In many children this process starts from the time they start showing signs of catarrh and parents administering antibiotics, also causing drug-resistant illnesses…
