Charlotte – I can absolutely see you in the advertising industry  had a lot of dealings with them in my early web days – content management. Still do some projects in this area. You’re a bubbly, confident person – you’ll do just fine in the interview. Ha knew you were a smoker! I gave up after many years when I fell pregnant. I still miss it. My partner is a smoker which sometimes makes it really tough!

OMG only 24! If only :)

I’m wrong side of 30, 22 June, CT: Boland, IT project/programme manager, married 2.5 years.

Kyoto – you’re as bad as me! We have exactly the same compliment apart from housekeeper! You are quite right though it certainly does come at a price. Fortunately on moving to CT I landed with my bum in the butter jobwise but it’s very stressful and has long hours and I’m so tired but giving it up is going to come at a price and I have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle. OCD – as in clinically diagnosed? That’s gotta to be tough – I have the opposite problem! I know what it’s like moving to a new city and not knowing anyone – more difficult for me is that I’m out in the country. It’s taken a good 6 years to build a new social group. Where are you in Jhb? Hmmm ditto with the medication..re the birth I still struggle to understand why it affected me the way it did. The context is that by the time I arrived at hospital his feet were already visible at the entrance and everybody around me just freaked including my doc. The problem was that the chances that his head would get trapped going through the cervix were good in which case he would have apparently died – the position he was in made it a certaintly. They were scared that it was too late to deliver him by Caesar as once they get to that point you can’t pull them back up. The first sentence my doc said to me when I woke up was that if I had been 15 mins later my baby would have died. So for me the trauma I suppose was more the what could have happened. It only started getting better once my doc and I had a 2hr chat about the whole thing.

Sorrel – yes I’m trying not thinking about all of that. It went by very quickly so that is what I will remind myself of  you’re all hinting at stories for another day – looking forward to hearing them…I’m in IT by the way – programme and project management.

Aribeth – yes I remember seeing you at times. As everybody says move on until you find something you are comfortable with. The problem with electronic communication I constantly find is that it is not always an accurate reflection of what is actually intended. Sorry feeling introspective today – must be to do with the fact that I have also just had electronic blow up with the boss over the last couple of days 

Sam – glad you’ve addressed it and are feeling better. Looks like a lot of us have struggled in this area.

Charlotte – hope the interview went well. What do you do?
