thanks girls! I'll give it till Saturday and then do another test. The late ovulation sounds possible, as that is what happened with my first pregnancy - didn't detect it till I was 5 weeks along, which they then confirmed as only being 3 weeks.

We haven't been trying, per sé, we just haven't been really careful, and DH and I decided last week to start trying for a 2nd one within a month or 2.

I think I'll give it till Saturday before I go for blood tests... you know murphy's law!

Hey Niknaks Hmmm....interesting. Funny your post sounds like my month that i have just had. I am normally 31 days too, but this month my AF decided to come 4 days later. Also did a test and it was negative too. I suggest to either wait another day or two and then test again or if you want answers straight away then go for blood tests. Good luck!

False negatives are not unheard of so yes it is possible. I did an HPT on CD 30 and it was a BFN. Then I did another on CD 35 and had a very faint 2nd line. I would test again first thing in the morning or go for bloods. Maybe you ovulated late so it's too soon for the pregnancy to show up yet. The missing AF and gagging do sound suspicious I hope you get your BFP ASAP!

While I don't have a regular 28 day cycle, since the birth of my LG it's been an average of 31 days.

I am now on day 35 and it has not been this late since I was pregnant. I did a HPT yesterday morning and it was a BFN. I don't have sore boobs or the usual pregnancy signs, but I do have the gagging while cooking meat, headaches, extremely tired, running to the loo every so often... etc.

Is it possible to have gotten a false negative and still be pregnant? Or is it possible to suddenly have longer cycles? I haven't been stressed or anything. I'm at the stage where I wish I'd either get the BFP or AF! I've heard of women only getting a BFP at about 6 weeks, I don't want to wait that long
