Netcare Stork's nest Gift Bag

I gave birth at Netcare Unitas a month ago. The babybag is still the same as justinek described (small nappies,wipes, bum cream, etc) You can buy another bag from them that contain all the other stuff you might need. I didn't buy that bag. When I booked my bed, they gave me a list of the things that I need to take with (basically what is in the bag). They didn't have vaseline on that list for instance, but it is good to take as it makes it easier to get the muconium off baby's bum.

I would say use the list you got from hospital as a guide and then check on moomies for other things they suggest you take.

I would suggest you take everything you need as the Storks nest bag does not give you alot of thing. You get lots of reading material, vouchers, a very small sample or cream and body wash. You also get a small pack of wipes and a very nice bag.

You can purchase a pack from them at the pharmacy which is about R350 which will have everything you will need but the Storks nest bag really doesnt give you much. Its not the same at all as the bags you get from medical aids etc.

I got my bag last year July so maybe things have changed

From what I was told (also Netcare hospital) you need to buy a pack from them which has all the additional stuff you need like linen savers etc. I'm not buying it, I got a lot of stuff from friends so just packed according to the list of what is in their bag. But then again I have heard conflicting stories so don't know what to believe!!!

Can anyone tell me what you get with your netcare baby gift bag?

I'm just a bit worried. cause according to the hospital all I need to take with for baby are vaseline, wipes, diapers, surgical spirits and cotton buds. and then just the going home clothes and blankets. and the rest I get there.

Anyone that's been through this recently, please let me know. I am 35 weeks, and not yet packed
