Carmen- thanks so so much for popping in! I have been thinking about you a lot! I'm so pleased DH has time off too! Interesting about the double nappy thing, my boys were breech and no one said a thing about their pelvis'.

MiksMommy- I didn't realise Wian was in Nicu? I suppose because I went in on the monday so didn't have much time to read Moomie or FB. Happy 12w, my boys also turn 12w on tuesday. Can't believe how time has flown! Madness!

Sorry I've been so quiet, DH and I have been enjoying our time at home with our bundle of joy!
The cs went well without complication. We struggled with latching and bf'ing as I have flat nipples, eventually the paed said I must use nipple shields, M latches and feeds. She is a good sleeper, and has to forced awake to feed. Because she was breech we have to double nappy, meaning I have to put a towelling nappy over her nappy her for about 3 weeks to align her hips. We are so lucky DH is off for another week, this is such precious family time

Generally a happy and good baby. We are so happy.

Now we have to learn to bf without the shields.

Ster - so sorry that Inge has a heart murmur, sure all will be well.

sterretjie i'm so sorry about the huge shock you had. If its any consolation when Wian was in NICU he also has (had?) a murmur... I got such a fright. I thought it had something to do with him turning blue after birth but the NICU nurse told me that usually if the doctor can feel the baby's pulse in their feet its not serious. Dr did sonar and x-rays and he is fine. He has a tiny hole in his heart but the doctor says it will close with time. Hoping and praying that Inge's is the same and that its not anything bad. BIIIIIG hug xxx

maryke @ we have the same issue and we have only 2 kids!! I told hubby to pick either Wian or Mikayla. He picked Wian, so that means he has to bath, feed and put him to bed. Only when wian is asleep, may he go plonk his ass on the couch. If Wian wakes up and cries, he has to go up and settle him. We swop every day, eg, Monday I do Wian and Tuesday I'll have Mikayla... It will of course be a bit harder for you cause the twins are twice the work!! Are you still thinking of sending them to creche?

Chris @ sleeping while feeding. I would kill her... sorry for her but its her job. She is a NIGHT nurse... that means she has to be awake when everyone else is asleep. Sorry... but I would be VERY upset! Hope the chiro sorts out the A-teams cramps!

AFM Wian is really such a happy little baba. If I think back to the first 6 weeks I cannot believe that its the same baby! He is 12 weeks old today Wakes up only once a night between 1 and 2 wooohooo!!! This is the same baby that woke up HOURLY for the first six weeks!! He drinks 200ml a feed and the next step would probably be solids but so far he is still okay on only milk. He was a bit constipated again this morning ;-( Will add a bit of oil to his bottle today, hope that sorts it out!

Chris- no ways!!!!!!!! sorry but when it comes to the help that you are paying for she should NOT be sleeping on thew job! The reason a night nurse costs so damn much is because she is expected to work un sociable hours and be AWAKE for it. hell if you slept at your desk during the day your boss would be pi$$ed. if you ask me a night nurse shouldn't even be sleeping between feeds never mind during.

I don't know if it's out of guilt or what but South Africans really allow their staff to get away with far too much!!!! sorry but it makes me furious!

Sorry your babies were so un settled after their jabs.

Chris you make me feel bad, im tierd when i feed Vanya some times and light sleep when she finished i burp her and hold her till she sleeps again. They will always be your kids no matter what anyone says.

Hi Ladies

So last night I decided to give the boys a bit of cooked maize the Purity goodnights Aiden loved it everytime we took the spoon out his mouth he cries when we put the spoon back he sucks of the porridge Llewellyn didn't like it at all so I stopped with him and gave it to him in his bottle and he loved it. They slept from 7 to 2:30 this morning and again from 2:30 to 6 so they where really hungry and the milk wasn't filling them I know it's a bit soon but my lg had porridge in her milk when she was 8 weeks old and she loved it.

Ster I am glad you like Dr. Blignaut really such a nice lady...I am so sorry about Inge's heart but hopefully like the pead said all will be fine and it will be nothing serious

Chris I still say it's my babies and it's my way so they have to be happy with what I say so be parranoid be bitchy be what you want to be and if they don't like it you get someone else, as easy as that, sleeping while feeding my kids I would flip my lid she is getting paid to watch the kids at night not sleep while she feeds the kids at night....

Yvette I am doing ok just all 3 my kids are a bit fluish but we get over that too, got the boys some iliaden and nurofen and Olbas so let see how it goes otherwise I will have to take them to the pead

Just a quick one from us...

Ster - I am thinking of you all the time! Just be strong and positive, the Dr's at the Sunninghill are THE BEST! The hospital is world reknowned! One day at a time!

Off to have 2nd lot of vaccinations now... so I'll come post later. We had paed visit yesterday and Nathan join is......................3.920g..... almost 4kg mark! The Dr was so happy. Will tell u everything later.

Hope everyone has good little angels todays!

We've had 3 nights of only waking once a night so I feel like a new person this morning!
