Morning ladies,

Chris i had that funny light spectale in my left eye about 3 weeks ago, it was so weird but exactly as you explained, like i imagine a migrane to be without the actual pain of a headache. It was like that for about an hour. I think it must be linked to the low BP. Thankfully haven't had it again and i am managing to keep my BP fairly stable at 120/70 which is actually high for me.

MommyN- that really is a weird dream LOL I have no suggestions as to why you would keep getting that dream but you did give me a good chuckle LOL

Yvette- sorry to hear your boy was sick! I hope he's o.k today! The twins are non identical but as they are both boys i am still going to dress them the same, just for fun, i think why not! Who cares if people think i'm silly, I'll only have twins once in my life! Besides the only thing that makes up for never having a girl is that i have 2 same sex boys so i will rather enjoy playing doll with those in the absence of a girl LOL sad i know!

Maryke- how you and the twins doing? Still managing to keep the sex a surprise? I would never have been able to do that, everytime i go for a scan my boys show off all their glory for the world to see!

How is everyone else?

Yvette - hope all is better with your son today. Do u think it is a bug or just something he ate? Argh! Also hope your kidney infection clears up. You do need to take extra special care of yourself!

Vix - if the Anti-D injection helps with the energy, then its good too! Are you back on your regular vits?

Chris - so glad your Dr's appointment went well! The baba's are doing well!

I also saw some prem clothes at BabyBoom - not sure on the price though. I would say stick to Ackermans and even though the clothes will be big, try to make a plan. Will you need prem nappies? I had to get for Missy because she was so tiny - but they really weren't that great (and EXPENSIVE), and after the pack was finished (eventually), I used the Pamper number 1s and just folded them at the top and made a plan. But you will probably have to get them. Unfortunately not many of the shops have tiny clothes, I only know of Ackermans, the Woolies Newborn is even big! Missy was 2,1kg when she came home and everything was so BIG on her. I'll keep a look out for you!

Chris - do you have details on that shop and exactly where it is. I dont need much stuff, but we need a car seat for Missy as Baba will use the snug&safe and maybe a simple pushchair. I dont know if it will be worth my while to go to him, but if its close to the Plaza, I dont mind going to do some shopping...

Aren't there some baby shops at the plaza with small clothes?

I was told many years ago that when your eyes go blurry especially in the afternoon, you should increase your water intake. You could possibly be dehydrating. I try do this. But this also links up to the BP.

Just a thought... does anyone have a water machine at home? We only got one because we were living in Tanzania where you COULD NOT drink the tap water, even for washing veges. Since we are back, its the best thing ever! I use the room temperature water to make Missy's bottles, so never have to worry about boiling and cooling water. Our water shop has some really simple machines that are not too big and can even stand on the counter. The water costs about 80c per litre. A bit of a luxury, but worth it after the initial outlay of a few hundred rand.

Gals, I have been having the weirdest dreams... one that keeps repeating itself is that I find a nappy in the kids room, and dont know if its been used or not.... I never leave nappies in the room anyway, and as I change Missy I fold them up and pop them into a bag which goes outside the door and I throw it away. But in my dream I dont want to waste the nappy if its not been used, its unfolded and then I have to sniff to see if its been used.... maybe TMI, but its so weird! And I worry so in my dream!!! And I am constantly dreaming about water, either like sea/dam/river or of water overflowing from bathroom and running into bedroom.... anyone know the meaning? Probably just hormones!

oh my word... i was just about to fall aslepp then i heard my son hurling his guts out! lovely. i cannot do puke so craig sorted out the mat. gross. gross. gross.

vix - no pram yet. just gonna wait for babyshower. i have asked for toys r us vouchers. i'm having on on 4th dec.

i am in contact with a potential doula... hold thumbs. shoo but the rates are high and medical aid does not cover them. will have to think very carefully about this. i have asked my midwife about her so i will wait her reponse.

vix, don;t stress about about your little ones. they are fine. a silly question, but are these babies identical or non identical? are you gonna dress them the same???

Chris- so pleased the babies are all doing so well! Sorry i caused you to also stress.

It wasn't so much the fact that the tweenies weighed differently that was concerning but more the pattern of growth that has been emerging in the past 2 scans and that tweenie2 is growing slower than a 'normal' rate and tweenie1 is growing faster than 'normal' rate. If tweenie 2 has gained weight at the same rate by my next scan then how much is irrelevent, it's about monitoring the pattern of growth.

I went to get my Anti-D shot today and (although i think it's psychological) i feel a lot better in mind and body since. funny how powerful the brain is.

Yvette- ouch on the inflamed kidney!!!! hope it doesn't cause you to have baba early! Great to 'see' you around a lot more these days! xxxxxxxxxxxx Did you get your pram yet?

chris - so cool that the cupboards are done. its exciting to do the room - bet you have so many things now already. have you had your babyshower yet? are you 100% sure that you are having 2 girls and 1 boy?? look for the TINY BABY babygrows from ackermans. they were great and were still a little large on ashley when she was born at 36 weeks. call your dr about the vision thing. don;t take chances now. your body is under immense pressure as it is.

vix - hey cookie. how you doing? love the cake. i couldn;t do that even if i tried! so well done to you!

gosh girls, but as i said in a previous post that i had kidney infection this weekend. my wee looked very dark - much darker than normal when i have mild infections. thought there was blood on the tissue paper. started antibiotics again on friday night. when i had my scan on friday morning, the sonographer mentioned that the right kidney was terribly swollen and is borderline serious. prob is that this is what happened before with ashley. preterm labour at 35 weeks. i am so sore but amazed at how my body manages to cope with the pain. even if there is no infection, the kidney swells and that inflammation causes immense pain. i spoke to my midwife this evening and she said i'm heading in the direction of miscarriage or preterm labour again if i don;t sort this out by RESTING! my tum has been incredibly irritable - any touch to it and it contracts. feels like my cervix is burning too - not sure if this is the baby though. seeing my gynae on friday morning.

i had an appraisel today and apparently i have done exemplory work this year... feel a VERY guilty to ask to have sick leave AGAIN!

Hi ladies!!

Well, Saturday I didn't do any shopping, the guy that we ordered all the baby stuff from just had everything ready for us, we got discounted on everything, I really advise anyone to go to him (close to the plaza). I met another triplet mommy to be there, she is smaller than me, also 6months and same, dr, same hospital! We'll probably be in together! Hehe

The cupboards are up, dh and I started packing them last night. We didn't have cupbaords in the other room so had to build so all the stuff thats in the cupboards in the babies room needed to move to the other cupboards, so we are getting there!

Scan went well, babies are growing, all different sizes, LG1 - 680g, LB - 611g, LG2 - 511g (or 580, but double check with dh, but I think it was 511g), asked dr if it was anything to be concerned about with the weight difference, cos of the small one being much smaller, he said not to worry, she is growing and thats what counts, its normal for some to be bigger (thanx vix for making me worry too!!! ) Dr thinks babies will come in the first 2 weeks Dec, also made sure to tell me that if I have any cramping, bleeding or water to go straight to hospital. Bp was a bit low (didn't feel like it though, maybe its just tiredness)

Went to go book our bed after the scan, so much to remember! At least I go tthe lists and can start packing my bag, I got some toiletries on the weekend for me to put in the bag, will have to wait for after baby shower to finish, I had bought pj's the other day, but when I tried them on at home, felt a bit hot and i think a bigger size will be better and more comfortable, so need to change that.

Vix, we get a free 4d scan with our booking, but the lady who was booking the bed warned us and said their quality is not good at all (like really shitty), she told us that i fwe really want one to rather have it done with someone professional as theirs is not good at all.

Our next scan is 15 Nov, we might book our 4D in 2w times as the lady from before recommended around 26weeks to still get some decent pics.

And we have a maternity shoot on the 7 Nov, so excited, cant wait!

Quick question, When I came back to the office, my eyes were doing something funny, you know when you get a migraine and they start making funny patterns in your vision, do you think its anything to be concerned about?
