Morning Ladies

So busy at work at the moment, but just wanted to quickly update my scan.

Adriaan weights almost 900g and is app 31cm from head to toe (a calculation they do). He is as healthy as a fiddle and so am I. Dr did a glukose test yesterday because my little man is so big, but I am not worried as I know we make big babies.

My next app is on 29 Nov @ 16h30 - dr is off from Dec to mid Jan, and I will be seeing his collegue then. So this will be my last appointment with Dr Niemandt till I probably give birth or maybe I get to see him one last time end of Jan

Hubby was a bit worried about the new gynae, but I am not fased as I WILL be giving natural birth and WILL have NO complications. Hell, I might even give birth by myself at home. Been through it so recently that I should know what to do....

Yvette, hope your doc can help with the infection, did he give you antibiotics or somethign yet? Also hope you dont have to drive to George!

Carmen, some traditions/cultures they throw their own baby shower, you can always put DH's name as RSVP, or mine and I will let you know who is coming! hehe

I was squizzing the first few, well, lots of pages of our thread, amazing how far we have come.

Vix, how are you feeling after your fall?

Our big cupboard is all packed, my sister came to help me last night, we have a few other things to sort out before putting up all the stuff in babies room, my sister warned me there are alot of ladies so need to try get what I can sorted now.... while moaning at me to rest! Which I really feel like I need to start doing, really feeling it today, I am sooo tired, was having pains this morning, I think its braxton hicks, not too sure, but it is gone now, but feeling a bit sensitive, think its because I just want to make it to 28w then I know its a bit safer if babies make entrance, but please not before then, I really hope my baby shower is sooner than I think.

This weekend I'm just going to get all the stuff for my hospital bag then its no more shopping for me.

Morning fellow yummy preggy mommys!

We went and got all the bigger bits i still need for the tweenies like extra breathing pad, 2 MORE maternity bras mmmm yummy but R560 for 2 bras OUCH but that's why my mum's credit card comes in handy! pigeon dummies because they are the smallest teats i can find and these babies WILL take a dummy! Sjoe, we came home with only a handful of things but a bill of R2400, amazing how quickly it all adds up. But now all i need to pay for myself is the medicines and some tiny baby grows so we actually did really really great with all the prezzies, donations and lends so thankfully we can now say we can 'afford' to have twins LOL

Going for my massage at 2 today and i really can't wait! The rub DH gave me last week completely took away my rib pain, it was wonderful until my fall on tuesday so yesterday i was in agony with my ribs and back again because i obviously gave my body quite a jolt with the fall and today i have woken up with sore arms, chest everything else really. I can barely lift my arms and the rib pain is back again this morning so i hope a full hour with the physio will really fix me up! I was so sore last night i could've cried.

Carmen- i think it would be a wise move to organize your own shower really i do! Almost everyone finds out when their shower is and has to pretend it's a surprise and then you might not even enjoy it because someone really random organized it for you. I say yay for doing the organizing yourself!

Maryke- i am so pleased to hear you say the tweenies don't 'kick' so much anymore just move around, I've also noticed the movement is subsiding again and turning more into rolls or pushes than kicks. I can see they're changing position all the time because my belly changes into some weird shapes! I must say though not really suffering any 3rd trimester issues, just the rib pain but i'm sure the physio will cure me of that again. I have really had a smoother pregnancy this time than my 1st which is very odd and un expected but i shall not complain!

didn't see the prem programme you're all talking about, don't have DSTV but I'm sure it was very sad to see, was talking to a woman yesterday who had her son at 31w and only 1.6kg and he is now 2 months younger than my son. you can see the size difference even now but that said he was way more confident than my boy so it gave me hope that the differences only last a small while and no matter what age they're born at they all still develop at different rates.

Lizelle- your DH is sweeter than mine, i didn't even get a card or small prezzie to open on my Birthday/anniversary so boo to him and his thoughtless ness!

Chan-= so pleased Kira's Dr has upped the meds so hopefuly by the time Kade comes your house will be calm again! xxxxxxxxxx

Would it be forward of me to throw my own shower? My dh looked at me scew when I said I'll being that. But I have no-one close enough who I think will take the initiative.

Kyra's appointment went well. Doc upped her dosage of her meds and expects everything to return to normal soon. So gave her first tab this morning and hopefully in 2/3 weeks we'll be seeing a difference!

Well it's my baby shower this weekend! I'm not supposed to know about it but Kyra has dancing practice and a party on and my baby shower so my mom and DH had to eventually tell me so that we could plan everything!

Yvette I feel exactly the same way about my ex husband. Thank goodness he's had nothing to do with our lives. I really hope your gyane can help with your kidney problem on Friday - not too long to wait now!

carmen - feeling better but i'm beginning to take strain now. i'm tired. yawning now and its not even 8.30pm yet. finished with antibiotics but the pain doesn;t go away - the kidney is severly inflamed / swollen which means its constantly tender. some days are better than others luvkily. bought cranberry/buchu tabs today.

seeing gynae on friday. i've been told that i have to drive to george in nov -i'll be 32 weeks and its about 5.5hrs away/ i only need to be there for a day... i so do not want to go.

chris - thanks for the supportive post. he is so far gone out my life that i will probably puke if i saw again anyway. he repulses me that badly now.

i also had a few tears on private practice-watched it last night. they need to bring Sloan from grey's back for an episode! man that guy is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!

maryke - dying to see your babies! hope you had a scan though.
