Just popping in quick to say hello - got back yesterday from our long-weekend away in DBN and everything is still chaos! But DBN was lovely over the weekend.

With the pregnancy - everything still going well, no issues so far. My next appointment is on 13 September, I know I'm probably pushing it but I'm hoping the doc can see if its a boy or girl....keeping my fingers crossed!

Where is the updates on the scans and sexes???

Hi everyone

Just back from our Dr's appointment. Seem to wait weeks for it and then its here and then its over. Feel kind of disappointed, dont know why, I should be jumping up and down. All is perfect. LO gave us a big wave and we had a beautiful pic of the face - huge eyes (same as my LG).

DH was very rushed, work stress, and of course there were 6 ladies ahead of me... but we only waited about 40 minutes. Maybe thats why I am not ecstatic.

But all is healthy, all measurements are good, chest is open, bladder is full (Dr says it means kidney, liver etc is working well). Stomach and bowels working (wonderful picture in my mind).

Guess its just the hormones making me feel flat. With my first pregnancy I felt like I was glowing... this one I feel different. Guess having a 1 year old to run around after tires you out.

Well, its SJ's first birthday in 2 days, and I guess I am also sad because the year has gone sooooo quickly! We waited so long to have her and now she is a year!

Enough about me...

Chris - hope you are ok and feeling better. The spring blossoms are making everyone sneezy and wheezy! Stay away from the Jasmine (head ache material for some).

Chan - are you feeling better and is work going better or more tolerable, shame man! Not fair.

Maryke - over the fiasco with the agents on Sunday?

SexyHexy - I saw some nice bedding at Baby Boom (last year). Remember to register there and you get 5% back after the birth of the baby. I got vouchers which I used to buy LO's christmas present.

It seems quiet on the forum at the moment, so everyone must be working hard. Speaking of which, I have tons to do.... better run.

Will get pic scanned in sometime this week, have to ask DH and now is NOT the right time... He says he needs to do 3 Africa trips in the next while, he is not looking forward to them and I dont enjoy being home alone, but anyway...

Oh yes, had an armed robbery next door last night and then the robbers shot at the patrol car in the street. So the community policing forum left a radio with me for to use if I go walking.... aaaagh, I hate it when these things happen!

SexyHexy- that DVD was great hey? I know it does highlight potential problems but you're so right, only very few identical twins are actually affected by twin to twin transfusion and actually in a country like SA where you have detailed scans by a specialist obsteatrition on a regular basis you actually have less to worry about than a singleton pregnancy in a lot of other countries. Your gynae will tell way before anything harful can happen to the babies. I think it's nice to be informed of the possible dangers so that if your Dr picks anything up you can relate it to something you have heard about. For me Knowledge is power be it for the good or bad. I think it's a really great DVD for a 1st time C-sec mommy too because you can see what the set up is and what goes on. I actually think I'm gonna watch it again this week.

I have seen some linen sets in baby boom from like R200 but how nice they are I don't know. I will email you another suggestion this afternoon when I get on the PC.

Asp- ooo I am so excited to hear the sex of your baba! There are about 4 or 5 people who should be finding out in the next week! So exciting!
