Taryn, Im also on the cyclogest. She gave me script until I see her again at 8wks. Then she will decide if I need to continue. Didnt need it with my son.. But Ive been battling with short LP since ttc and she said my progestrone count was low at about 5wks so rather play safe and take the stuff. The unfair part is that medical aid dont cover it (they see it as fertility drug :( ) and it worked out over R900 for the 3wks. Which isnt much if its to keep my little bean safe.. but with all the scans and drs appointments and bloods, they all do add up :(

Taryn- if someone has suffered multiple MC then they will be on progesterone support because low progesterone is often the cause of many MC before 12w, If a woman has been trying for a very long time to concieve and never had a BFP even thoguh she is O regulally then it's possible that the embrio does not survive because of low progesterone levels so support is given. I wouldn't say there are particular signs to look out for, if you have a very short LP when TTC then they might also give progesterone support. I think in your case you shouldn't worry, you've carried a healthy child to term in recent years, you didn't have trouble concieving as such (I know it took you a few months but that's pretty normal) and if you haven't had multiple MC's then I see no reason why you would have a progesterone problem. I only had a 11 day LP which may possibly have bennefited from progesterone support but my gynae said it actually wasn't nessicary.

Hi Binks- you must be excited for your scan on Monday? Mine is still 2w away yet I am DESPERATE to go again LOL what sex are you hoping for?

Carmen- how is the irritation going? Your scan is tuesday hey?

Chris- I'm not going to the SAMBA thing, DH wasn't terribly excited with the idea and I can read everything I want to know so now I've got coffee plans, are you still planning on going?

Hi ladies,

Just a quick question - how come most of you are on progesterone support?
I was just wondering what sign I should be looking out for in case I need it too.

Maybe Im just acting silly :silly:

Hi Ladies

Agh Carmen, sorry about the skin irritation, it must be aweful! Not sure of what to take? Anyhow, Im also starting on the uterogestan tonight, can be taken in the mouth or vaginally, but when I spoke to my clinic she said its better vaginally as it disssolves quicker and you dont get as nauseas with it, but its gonna be loads of fun. Are you still on 200mg too?

Binks, few days to go, cant wait to hear what the sex is!
