I was a bit freaked when the bites suddenly turned to big pimples last night and it's itchy but the GP wasn't too worried.

Chan- Ikm sure everything is fine with your baba! At least you don't waste a whole morning like I just did, but yes 4.30 is late in the day.

Vix that is awesome news!! When do you see gynae again?

Shame I hope you're ok with all those nasty bites. I'd be freaking!!

Baba' heart is beating nice and strong! She is approx 7w3d gestation so new EDD is 7th Jan.

Gynae was not impressed with my rash from the insect bites last weekend, so sent me straight to the GP. He said it sounds and looks like ticks but very small ones, but boy did he get a shock when I showed him the leg, I think he was expecting 5 bites but I swear there are at leasst 50 pimples on my knee and thigh alone. He felt all my glands and said it looks like just a rreaction to the tick bites and not tick bite fever, probably it was a nest of hatchlings and they didn't carry enough/any of the virus. He doesn't want to treat with antibiotics or anti inflamatories because of the baby so he has just given me a cortisone cream to use sparingly on the pimples and see how it goes. Luckily I have had tick bite fever before so if they did pass it on my body has probably already been fighting it off with the antibodies from last time.

Paisley- the cramps have gone but I suddenly remembered I had these pains last time around 7w so probably normal.

Chan- after today I realise I probably could've waitied until 12w for my appointment but hey, at least I know the heart is beating. Now to prepare for it's arrival. I need to re cover just about everything including the cot.

AFM had a wonderful weekend in Durban. We were really busy so I'm quite tired still. Will try get to bed early tonight to catch up! Scan tomorrow. I'm so nervous!!!

Yvette- it won't be so bad, my boy just turned 19m and I must say he's a real boy now not a baby at all. I have left him some babyisms like his dummy and bottle for now but he is already showing signs of potty training so at least there won't be 2 babies in nappies for too long. Kids these days are so independant! Does your LG go to daycare? That will also help when you have no2. My friend is about to have no2 with a short age gap like you will have but I can see she'll cope perfectly, you'll find a way and in the end you'll be glad they're close in age. Do you have any family o help support you?

I sadly will be alone again. My mum lives 2.5hrs away and there is no way I could have her stay with me, would drive me nuts. Otherwise all my family are in the UK so no support system other than DH who gets to escape to work. But I survived the first time, I'm sure I'll survive again.
