sorry for all your scares!!
Just to let you know a little more about the catheter...
they need to insert one to make sure they get sterile urine to get an accurate test result as when you just wee, that wee is contaminated by the germs around your vagina.
There is no way it can harm the baby as they insert it straight into your urethra (its a soft silicone tube) and this has no way of contacting the baby in the womb.
However, it will be slightly uncomfortable for you when they insert the tube but it is over within like 10 seconds.

I am so scared of going to get the catheter. I am also worrie dthat this might somehow hurt the baby, but they assured me that nothing can go wrong. Why cant i just pee in a freakin cup! argg!

I am going through all this and i hate this, but i know in the end it will all be worth it. My and DH keep referring to the baby as a "he", maybe thats a sign that it will be a boy?

Hi everyone.

I am very jealous of all of you on leave! I have to work till 5pm on 24 December!

I had some more blood this morning along with cramps. so i called my gynea again and they said i should come in. I did another scan (infertility sucks, but they do take such good care of me with all the scans) and baby is fine. I had to give a urine sample to check for an UTI. They called me back 2 hours later saying the results were inconclusive and that i have to come back and they will put a catheter (spelling?) in and get urine directly from my bladder that way. I am going at 5, but im abit scared. Why does everything that can go wrong go wrong with this pregnancy?

I just wish i could have a normal pregnancy and start enjoying it.

So, today is dh last working day. Only start 10 Jan again. And he will be home early, they usually work half day. I am so nervous. Last year they didnt get bonusses(there was no money). But they knew they werent getting any beforehand. This year the boss said nothing. He just told a colleuge that if some big acc pays, there would be bonusses. But thats all. The other guy seems to think they are getting. We need that money........
5 more sleeps till my first scan. I still weigh the same as 8 weeks ago! Guess I am lucky this time!
