Hi Weeskind. I think I am craving oj! I have finished 5l since monday. And I want biltong! I wonder if its really bad for a pregnant lady.....

I was wondering. Is there any of you with a feeling what the sex would be? Those who know the sex? Were your feelings right?
I am thinking this is a girl! Dh too. He says there is no male dark hair men in his family, and this child is going to have dark hair. (Other 2 has blond hair.)

Lol... sorry, forgot to mention that the big craving has struck me on Sunday....

1st it was Chocolate milk, so my DH went and bought me that (he came home with 4lt milk and a bottle of Nesquick)

Then later that afternoon I felt so "lus" for chutney???? I ate about 4 spoons full out of the bottle, so by then DH looked at me as if I am totally crazy.

But later while we watched the 8pm movie on Mnet, he made popcorn, and I saw the bottle of Trim 1000 island style sauce in the fridge so I dipped my popcorn in it... It tasted REALLY good....

DH thinks I have lost the plot, but by monday I was fine, and no cravings since then.

Is any one else experiencing weird/normal cravings?

Tanasha, I am glad everything seems to be ok. I did not get a chance to read the thread since last week Friday, and started to cry when I've read that you may have had a MC, just to feel happy straight afterwards when all seemed to be fine

MsDee, my hubby also battles to connect with the baby, but I think that might be due to a bit of stress... I was the one being obsessive about getting pregnant, while he always had the attitude that "we will get pregnant when the time is right"
And now with me leaving work and everything he is working extra hard, so he is always tired

Okay, so yesterday was my last day at work... thought this day would never come I am soooo glad. Although it is going to be a very busy few weeks for me.

We stay in Richards bay, in a one bedroom flat, and this weekend we are going to my mom in dbn to do some baby shopping (cant wait!!!!) then on Sunday we are bringing my sisters twins back with us to come and visit for a week (they are 5yrs old... boy+girl). So Monday the twins and I will be baking cookies and on Tuesday my best friend from JHB and her hubby with their three children are coming to visit till after Christmas.... Dont know how I am going to fit everyone into my house lol but will make a plan.

I also decided that I do not want to stay at home yet, so have a few interviews lined up for the week between Christmas and new years. Working in a gaming shop in a mall had it's benefits that I got to know a lot of people, and by just telling some of our regular customers I am leaving, I found out about 3 of them owning their own company and wanting to employ someone for January... so I guess I will stand a good chance to get something worked out for me Also all of them know about the fact that I am pregnant so I don't even have to stress about having to tell them or anything

PS: How do you get a video clip of your scan? Does the gynie offer it or do you have to ask for it, and is it covered by medical aid or not? I would love to have one for my 20wk scan, but my gynie is not the friendliest person I know... (unfortunately he is the "best" out of the only two gynies there is in this town)

I think I feel a bit better about the whole thing now. I guess I also sometimes disconnnect from the pregnancy so for him it could be so much so cause he's not the one carrying it.

@Esmari I do hope you get to make friends soon. I can sense your frustration. I would be too under those circumstances. Wish I had something smart to say but i'm just glad you're letting it out. I know first hand how bottling up emotions can lead to more serious issues.

Karienh, I have been a sahm for the past 7 years. (Since I got married) I worked once for 7 months, but it wasnt for me letting someone else raise my kids!

My story: Its getting to me! I dont have a maid. I do everything myself. I am starting to think of myself as a maid! And it feels like no one respects me. I have a 4 and 5 y old, and the house is a disaster all the time! And I have to clean it.
I have NO friends! I am at home all day. The only time I get out is when I go to the shop, and on weekends. Its frustrating me A LOT! All my friends are in other towns. We live in a small town. I had a friend in town, but she ended up backstabbing me! And the most ladies over here are snobs! Ok, I had to get all that out of my system!

Just cause thats how it is form me, is not to say it will be so for you! My advice: Surround yourself with friends! My biggest problem is we moved here when my lg was 4mnths old. I guess I will make friends next year from my lb Gr. R class.

You dont perhaps know of a way I can earn from home? Get my 'self respect' back!
