LOL Esmarie! I know all about the ? faces! It was BF birthday party this last weekend and all I drank as Dry Lemon. I got a few odd looks and some questions, but I just said I'm trying to get healthy and staying away from wine!!

The OJ craving was weird because when I felt so nauseous all I wanted was OJ.

When I lie flat on my back I can feel my tiny bump with my hands! This only works in the mornings - before the horrid bloating starts.

Hi to everyone else and thanks for being so supportive - I'm still battling with the whole "how am I going to cope" thing, but you ladies are so wonderful that your kind words have eased my stress

I can also see a bump. But only if I pick up my csection 'roll'. Hehe. Usually its 'flat' when I do that, but now its a bit round. 8w monday, then another week before I have my first scan.

Have dh year end tomorrow. We going with a boat over knysna lagoon and braaing somewhere. Wonder what they will think of me vomiting all over the place? I am so naar these days. And I wont be using alcohol, and they know I love my wine! Gonna have some ? faces!

Jojo, I have trouble eating! Only managed one peace of wors last night! And one slice of toast this morning!

Just wanted to wish everyone a nice weekend.

The abdominal pain still won't go away. i am so uncomfortable. I hope it passes soon. I went to the gym yesterday and walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes, i think it did help a bit, but this morning the pain is back & i hate panado!!! I'd rather suffer in pain than take panado

But it's so nice how i get see the tiny bump when I'm lying flat on my back. I can just lie there for hours and rub my stomach.

Yep, I've been MIA again. Sorry.

TaNasha, so glad to hear your good news. I was horrified to hear what happened.

Cravings!! Oh gosh! I started off by craving OJ. I used to buy a litre of DairyBelle OJ and drink it in a day. Couldn't get enough of the stuff!!! Now I'm basically off all sweet things - and I'm not into chocolate anymore which is very odd for me
All I want now is FOOD! Savoury food - lasagne, cottage pie, curry etc. I'm constantly starving!!! I'll even make do with a Marmite sandwich.
Other than that I haven't had any weird cravings, it's just that I never know from morning to evening what I'm going to want to eat because what I fancied yesterday doesn't do it for me today. I'm craving Lays plain salted crisps now - last week it was Pringles and now they turn my stomach. Hectic!

I'm going to my 10 week DS bloods today and hopefully another scan! Will let you know how it goes

lol I know my cravings are weird! funny enough.... I have not had any heartburn at all since the beginning of the pregnancy.

Well, from the moment I found out I am pregnant, I've had this feeling that it would be a girl... (I always said I want a boy first so that he could look after his sister, but now I really want a girl - even though it won't really matter in the end).

Last week Monday one of our customers came in the shop and gave me a baby gift parcel to say goodbye and good luck and when I opened it, everything was pink

Then on Friday night we went to some friends and my one friend has two little girls. So while sitting on my lap the one of 3yrs old asked me what is the baby in my stomach's name, so I told her I don't know yet, seeing that we don't know the gender.... so she said: "no it I promise you it is a girl".... that was a bit weird but also cute. Every body heard her say that and now they are all ranting and raving about me having a girl, even though our gender scan is only on the 10th of Jan. LOL

But ya... We are still clue less on baby names.... I like Adrian as a boy name and Sune as a girl name.... The twins dad's name was Riaan, and he was more like a brother to me that a BIL and both DH and me feels we want to honor his "nagedagtenis??" in some way, but it will hurt everyone if we call our boy Riaan so that is why we decided on Adrian (pronounced in English) and because my name starts with a A going with Adrian, so if it is a girl her name should start with a S seeing that my DH's name starts with a S.... so any other suggestions would also be helpfull please.

Thank you for being honest Esmari. I'm afraid of that happening. We haven't been in Joburg long and I don't really have any friends here. I'm also pretty shy and don't know where to meet other people - but I will have to! There's a pregnancy yoga class I'm thinking of joining next year - that might help. I hope you do make friends next year.

Weeskind those are weird cravings Didn't you have bad heartburn after all the chutney and dressing?

I haven't had any cravings, but last night I was soooo hungry. I made a baked pasta dish that was supposed to be enough for dinner and lunch for me and DH. He had one helping and I finished all the rest. When he went into the kitchen later he just burst out laughing when he saw the empty dish...at least I went to bed with a full stomach.

Weeskind, take a CD-R with to your doctor next time and before the scan ask him if he can put some clips on the CD. Ours offered to do it and didn't ask anything extra for it.
