Hi girls,
Sorry for being MIA, but have been a bit pre-occupied

I do log in via iPhone to check for updates, but a mission to do a post from phone, so thankfully (just before going on mat leave) work gave us iPads, which makes it easier to type, so here goes with an update, but first things first!
Ankia, good luck, hope you do not have to wait long for your LG, and sure all will go well!
AFM, as you heard, we had a little girl, Emma! She was born 12:50 on Tuesday, 13 September. I had a really good birth experience (yes, that is possible with csec!!) and will still sit and write it all down. Just suffice to say, Constantiaberg MC is excellent! I did not have one thing or experience there that wasn't good and positive, what wonderful staff
We got home Friday afternoon and did the intros to our 7 Norwegian Forest Cats, only one has had his nose seriously out of joint, but in a way it is like real sibling rivalry as we bottle raised him from birth, yip, had to formula feed him every 3 hours with special kitty formula for about 6 weeks, so in his mind, he is our baby. But, even that is starting to settle and he has taken to smelling Emma at least.
Emma has been really good, she's a real laid-back easy baby and we've been getting more sleep than expected. I'm breastfeeding, which has been a roller-coaster. All was ok in hospital, but one nipple took some strain. Then milk came in BIG time Friday, and I made Pamela Anderson look like a real amateur

This unfortunately led to some engorgement, skin off one nipple gone (ouch!), mastitis in one breast looming etc etc. Anyway, after having a mini-meltdown Tuesday afternoon and yesterday morning, I think (and hope and pray) we may have it sorted, well sort of at least.
I am so grateful to have hubby still at home with me, I have no idea what I would have done without him. He's on leave till next week Wednesday which is also giving him so special time with his little girl who has her daddy completely mesmerized
Well, that is it from me..... I heard this morning that an ex-colleague passed away from brain cancer last night. She was only 36 and was diagnosed about 4yrs ago about a month after birth of her 3rd little girl. She fought so hard to be with her precious family and to see her little baby turn into a little girl....
All I can say is enjoy every moment with your precious little bundles - they are a gift entrusted to each of us.
