Laliek - I also suspect I'll end up with a large baby...at least if myself and my husband are anything to go by...I was 4.5kg and DH was about 4kgs! Neither of us are huge now tho ;) My mom managed natural with me...shew! :S Although doctors estimates get less and less reliable closer to the due date. The friend I visited last night was told her baby was over 4gk just before 39 weeks and turns out he was only 3.14kg! Thats a HUGE discrepancy! So, we just have to wait and see how things go...

Ankia - sorry you aren't feeling good...bad timing for the long weekend :( And 2 and a half hours...wow! Hope this birth goes as smoothly for you...if only we are all so lucky!

Hapi - everyone says a planned c-section is a 100 x better than an emergency one so it's great that you have made that decision and can plan on the birth that you want. I don't think there are many gynae's who'll even attempt a natural birth with twins anyway...
And no matter how all ours births go, the important thing is that we end up with our LO's safe and happy in our arms :) Can't wait...

BoB - goodluck with your exams hun!! I'll be thinking of you when I write. Just no so sure how on earth I'm going to concentrate on these papers with baba on my mind mmmm

Tracey, Tanzi and Skai - it's wonderful that all of you want to go natural route! I think it's a wonderful experience.

Hapi - I knnnooooww, it's so scary how time flies!! Like Skai said, I have 3.5 months to due date basically, it's very scary! I'm sort of keeping an open mind about the birth at this stage Hapi. Doc said that our little boy may be really big (I'm very tall (1.8m) and my husband as well (1.95m) and he was a rugby player so no wonder our little man will be big lol). Anyway, doc said we should assess the situation at 36 weeks and see how everything goes etc etc. So if I end up having to have a c-section, I feel exactly like you do, whatever is the safest for my little boy to come into this world. I think he should decide how he wants to enter so if he lies bridge and I can't have natural I'm ok with that, if he wants to enter this world naturally then I'm happy with that as well - as long as he's well and safe! And like Skai said, it doesn't really help to plan ahead and have your mind set on one thing (with you it's obviously different as I know twins are normally c-section babas so it's much safer for them to be delivered that way!). So for now I've decdied to have an open mind ;-)

Good morning

I have a blocked nose, and I can feel the headache coming - urgh
I do not need this now

Well I am planning natural, my first birth was very fast, so the midwife thinks that this one will also be fast, from 5 cm to birth 2 & 1/2 hours.

No movements yet, so we are waiting for that

Have a great day

hi there girls

Tracey, thanx for the heads up ;)

Everyone else hellooo!

Laliek, amazing isnt it ? soon we will also be posting our birth stories. I will be delivering via c-section. my doc said from his experience if twins lie they the girls are lying they seldom change position but he said its not impossible for them to be head down at the time of birth. So I just decided to go the c-section route, the ultimate goal is for the girls entrance into the world to be a safe one.

You Laliek, have you decided? i followed the thread you had started on c-sections.

Hi fellow preggie fairies,

Sorry I've been quiet for a while...have been following the happenings tho ;)

BoB and Laliek - best of luck with your exams! All your heard work will pay off and be so worth it once you have your degrees.

Tracey - Love your bump - enjoy showing it off! :)

Candi - you must be so happy with your man back home! Yay for you!

And Laliek - I plan on a natural birth in hospital with my private midwives. Would like it to be without epi but will see how that goes ;) After visiting a friend last night who has a 2 week old (the cutest little guy ever!) I realize once again that all the planning in the world can't change the way things go on the end...so here's to hoping my body in and baby do what they are supposed to to have a natural birth :)

Have booked to do antenatal classes from next month. Was really toying with the idea of whether to do them or not but decided this is a once in a lifetime event (first born...) and we may as well absorb as much of it as we can. It really goes so quickly...had a little 'freak out' the other day when I realized this little guy will be here in 4 and a half months (or possibly less)...hectic!

Anyway, have a lovely weekend everyone! And travel safely!

@ Hapi: Yes I’m new to the site and to the Forum, I joined on Friday, but I’m sure you said hi to me on Friday. :P We are having a little girl, so excited, can’t wait to start shopping for little dresses.

@Tracey: I must say I can’t wait to feel that first kick, everybody is telling me how special it is too feel that first kick, so yes I can’t wait for it. :)

@Laliek I definitely want to go the natural way, so I truly hope that all will go well with the pregnancy. But if the baby is in danger I’ll go for a c-section.

@ Babyorbust: Yes it is great to have this support system where we can share our pregnancy and where we can feel free to share our Ups and downs. :)

Hope all of you will have an awesome day!!

:P
