ProudMom - how exciting! Let us know what happens on the 14th.

Your baba will be perfect and healthy. Like the other ladies said your body gives to your baby first and then to you.

I have a friend that found out at 6 months (around 23 weeks) that she was pregnant. She also had an irregular cycle and Drs told her she could not have kids, so pregnancy was the last thing on her mind. She smoked, drank and did not take her vits (unless the Vitiman C from the cranberry juice in a Cosmopolitan counts) and her daughter is a perfect, happy, heathly 6 year old

Proudmum- I see your girl is the same age as my boy, if you want to come chat with us 2008 mommies we always welcome new faces, it's the Oct/Nov 2008 mommies group, we have babies from Sept to Dec in the group, although they're not babies anymore :-( but it will be nice to hear more about your LG

Hi from another "very silly mummy"... I'm the one Vix is referring to...

I found out I was pregnant the 2nd time round at about 17 weeks. My GP who did the blood test said I was probably 5 weeks pregnant. Went to a new gynae and he said he had to do an internal because I was probably only 6 weeks, well, thats when he told me I was 18 weeks!!! DH didnt even go with and he could have told me the sex already! So it was movement I had felt on the Sunday evening!!!

My daughter was 6 months old when I fell pregnant, and I was still breastfeeding so thought thats why I felt so tired and I thought my periods, which had started 6 weeks after my LG was born, had gone away due to hormones! Well it was due to hormones, but pregnancy hormones! After TTC for 4 years for her, I fell pregnant so easily the 2nd time round! :woohoo:

We had moved back to SA and I unpacked an entire house without knowing. Boxes, furniture, and a baby. Maybe better that I didnt know I was pregnant, I would have just wanted to rest! :P

In a way it was nice to skip the first trimester, but I loved being pregnant and Nathan was born early, so I was only pregnant that I knew of for 15 weeks... crazy!!!

Vitamins wont do any harm, but the baby will take what it needs from your body. Vitamins may help YOU feel more energetic. But I wouldnt worry too much, I am sure you have been eating a well balanced diet anyway.

Proud_mum, enjoy every minute and look forward to hearing all about your Dr's visit in 2 weeks time!

That is an incredible story!! It must be a shock, but what a lovely shock to have.

Congratulations - we are all rooting for you.

I bet you are counting the minutes to the 14 March - I really am excited for you, wow!

Do not feel stupid and embarrassed - stuff happens. I think a lot of us wonder how, as we track TTC so closely, but I always love that phrase "Life happens when you are making other plans...."

Good luck - look forwar to the update on the 14 March.

@ Elamsmom Thank you. hubby and I are so shocked we were planning to try from march this year but I guess God had other plans and we feel truely blessed. We could only get an appointment for 14 March, I have a lovely gynae but I'm so scared he is going to think I am the biggest idiot

@ Esmari Thank you. that makes me feel so much better. I honestly was in tears this morning, I was just so worried. Went on to the pampers forum and gosh didnt even know what was going on there, so hubby told me he read about this forum on mybroadband. So cannot wait for 14 March
