Ladies, you should have seen us sleep training Shane. Luckily he learnt quickly and it only took 2 nights but when Shane was crying, the cats would circle us where ever we where trying to alert us Shane was crying (as if we where deaf?). Tequila, our one cat started biting us on the ankles until we went to stop Shane crying. So sleep training consisted of Shane crying in his room and 3 cats being locked up in another room, hysterical!!!

Liz, fabulous bedding.

I'm having another c-section. Shane 'missed the boat'. got to big and by due date his head was to big to engage so I had a c-section. Gynae thinks the same thing will happen with this boy.

Thanks for the updated list Lindy! Phew, there's a lot of boys! :-)

Chanz - I've made a decision already regarding birthplan. Going to opt for csec. I'm working in a workshop, imagine my waters break, hehehe, not going to be funny. And I want as much possible time with my LB, don't want to sit and home doing nothing waiting till baby comes. If I wasn't working, then I would've gone all natural.

I wish I had a kitty cat!! Sal, those pics are gorgeous!!!!!!!

Regarding weight gain....The dr just said yesterday "So we've picked up quite a bit of weight hey?" Uhm, yes. I've picked up 4kg since the last visit. Seeing that I've been eating quite a lot, I thought it would be more, LOL!!!

Look at the baby bedding I just ordered!!!

Thanks for the updated list Lindy...sjoe there are only 2 girls...hehehe looks like they gonna have lotsa admirers :P

Sal you just made my day lol those pics are too precious. We have 5 cats. The eldest is 3 years old and a big cat, one is 1.5yrs old, and the other 3 are 10 months old. The last 4 are very tiny cats ( i think short legged). They are very attached to me and DH but more me lol. we have so far trained them not to go into the baby room. So far so good. I dont think our kitties will be a prob coz they are very loving cats. I sometimes wonder where they came from coz they aint normal, they are inside 24/7 except when going outside for the loo. LOL every night when we go to bed they follow and make themselves comfy at our feet. :P

Anyway about our diets...sjoe in the beginning I also tried to be strict. But I find as long as my breakfast and dinner is healthy then I am ok. I havent picked up much weight this far, but then again i was chubby before falling preg. I just feel that pregnancy is a special journey and I dont wanna waste my time freaking out about calories. Obviously not over indulge but I think if you keep to 3 meals a day and snacks in between then you are fine. If you gain alota weight during your pregnancy then obviously your body needed it and your baby.
And its perfectly normal to snack more often. Especially when you are in your second trimester. Your baby needs the carbs to bulk up for delivery ;)

Jafraser I hear you on the bladder kicks. My baby thinks my bladder is a trampoline. And I don't know if any of you have experienced this, but sometimes baby is really pressing on my bladder so when I sneeze or cough I HAVE to run to the loo  DH finds this hilarious.
Shame sorry to hear about your retrenchment. We are getting ready for me to stop working, so finances are also becoming limited. I have like 2 paydays left and its scary. But you right, family are always more than willing to help. Since being on bedrest I have realized just how much my family cares. My dad and sister did my grocery shopping and my brother bought the curtain rods for the baby room (with my card lol). But its all a huge help. I think babies just do something to a family.

Gosh Sal my one cat Zeus looks just like your cat. LOL and has the same kinda nature. Always a bundle of love.

So I just put the lamb bredie/stew in the slow cooker. Hubby can make the pap. LOL I can only stand for so long.

Mmm I have really been thinking about my birthplan since all this drama happened. I feel a little guilty, but my gut says to rather opt for a csec. I feel like my body couldnt fall preg on its own, and now it battled to keep baby in. So I really wonder if a natural birth is just gonna be too much stress on me and baby. Has anyone else been wondering about their birthplans?

I'm really battling to eat healthy. I always start so well in the morning with a grapefruit followed by a huge bowl of bran with raisins and a banana. Seriously about 1 hour after that I am starving. I've had such a chocolate craving that if I come anywhere near a chocolate I eat the entire slab. this week I have cracked the 10kg mark :-( 1st pregancy I put on about 23 kg's. Lost it all within 2 months of bfeeding, well not all of it, hang onto 4kg's. Promised myself that I would be good this pregnancy but its going the same route <sigh>
