Hope all the pregnant fairies are doing well

An update - went for our follow up appointment today. Wow baby has grown so much. we are both doing very well. We finally got a peek at the gender It's a BOY typical boy lol wasnt shy to show either. We are so happy. DH and I both said from start that we just want a healthy baby, gender didnt matter.
Mr weighs 531g already and is measuring approx 27cm.
Shame Dh's face was priceless when doc said "dis 'n seuntjie".

So I can see a big shopping spree coming month end lol

Hey Logansmom thanks for the update...me feeling a bit depro found out this avi that hubby has to stay another night so I think these hormones are getting the better of me.

Liz - We all seem to be mia this week - all probably running around.
Moses baskets are beautiful and if can afford it closer to the time we'll also get one. Sorry not so clued up on the painting info, all I know is that the paint you use needs to be lead free to be safe for a baby.

Mariet - Happy birthday!! And how was the scan??
As far as I know we (preggies) are high risk, so its recommended that we get the flu shot. I am also considering. You can get it for free from the government clinic.

Lizel - How is the planning for Zelri's party coming. I must be homest to say rather you than me, I am cronically tired with this pregnancy. Hope its something that you enjoy and have fun with it.
Sorry to hear about your placenta. At least if you know what you are in for a c/s isn't too bad, at least you have time to get your head around it.

You're not selfish to want DH at home, pregnancy can be an emotionally trying time.
I went through a patch of middle-of-the-night-thirst but weirdly couldn't get myself to drink water either. I ended up drinking litres of my LB ceres junior. Amazingly I found that its the only fruitjuice that doesn't give me heartburn, so now I get it for myself as well.

Deja - Rotavirus is a pest. Logan had it as a baby and also ended up in hospital. Happy she is ok now. Hope your nausea isn't related (holding thumbs)

Elrike - Welcome home. Happy you had fun, but don't think I could handle those cold temps! Maybe if you could have a sherry or something to warm up. Yay yay for all the kicks - every one is a little reward for all the yuckies that happen during pregnancy

Chanz - thanks for the update. I have been thinking about you so often. Exciting that your LO's room is almost done. Let us know what happened at your follow up today.

AFM - Doctor on Thursday afternoon. Cant wait for the scan. We are going to talk seriously about my birth plan as well. I am going to attempt VBAC. I know there is a whole seperate forum on the topic, but are any of you ladies VBAC hopefuls?

Starting to gather my UIF forms as well. Don't want to be unprepared with regards that.

Sorry I've been so MIA......hectic here at work, just a quick update....

Chanz - glad the nursery is almost done, whoowhooo! I have done absolutely nothing yet.

I bought a moses basket on a stand on gumtree. I asked my BIL to collect it for me as we're not in Cpt. So I haven't seen it with my own eyes yet. Can't wait. I want to spray it white, any advice?

Going to see bubs tomorrow!!!!! Hopefully we can find out whether it is pink or blue. Can't wait!!!!!
