Good morning!!!!

Chanz, thanks for the update, gosh, I think we all had a big skrik! Glad you're back at home, and yes, don't feel bad when you need someones help, I think all the family and friends will be more than willing. And sorry to hear about your doggie.... :( Hmmmm, I would do some reading if I were you. And crossword puzzles and soduko to keep the brain going. Listen to music on an ipod or something. Yes, scrapbooking and naaldwerk. The Ideas magazine had some cute "learn to knit/crochet" articles in them, let me know if I can fax/email them through, I should still have them around somewhere. Glad bubba is fine though!!!!

Mariet - Ek het geen idee oor daai Duitse masels nie, kan dr jou nie nou in-ent nie? Baba groei mooi! Ons sal ook volgende week definitief weet, so ons sal maar so saam-saam moet wag! LOL!

Elrike - voel jy al beter?

Lindy - My LO is also very quiet..... :-(

Hi to everyone else!!!!

Oh, we bought the travel system yesterday!!! Whoop whoop!!! My SIL went to fetch it for us, were scared that they would run out of stock, so we asked her if she would do it. She still has it with her, can't wait to lay my hands on it! It's like a new toy!!! :woohoo:

Hi,

We've been to the doctor this morning for a scan. Baby weighs 270 gram, doctor says that today it looks more like a girl, so I don't know. We are going for our big 20 weeks scan next week then we will probably know for sure.

Doctor says that the blood results show that I don't have immunity against "duitse masels". Sorry I don't know the English for that. Is that a big problem? What can you do about it?

Chanz - So glad that everything is going ok now. Sorry to hear about your dog. What about scrapbooking? I don't think other people mind helping at all. You must just not be shy to ask.

Lindy - I also felt dizzy a few weeks ago, but it is much better now. I also read that you must drink LOTS of fluids.

Elrike - Hoe voel jy? Is jou verkoue beter?

Hi all the other girls, why so quiet?

Chanz I'm so glad you are ok now, sorry about your dog and I'm sure it must be hard to rely on other people you do sound like a bit of a independent spirit but you are right. What ever is good for the baby.

I am feeling much better thanks Elrike, I'm ok with feeling dizzy etc I'm just worried that it might be harmful to the baby if my bp gets too low. But apparently it's ok and can't do any harm to the baby so I am happy.

I have not felt baby move again...or felt the bubble things can't wait for that to start then maybe I will have more peace of mind.

you all have a nice evening and Elrike I hope you feel better in the morning.

Chanz - thank you for the update! Sjoe, I've got a few things to do if I was booked to bed rest!! But sure it is nothing to wish for! Thimk of you during this time! I trust that everyone prays for you and the LO. Sorry about your dog.

Weet nie hoe jy voel oor naaldwerk nie, maar borduur is 'n lekker tydverdryf as jy so niks mag doen nie! of Brei! Dan internet, Chat, hmmm, speletjies!!!

Liz, Thanks for info on Low Blood presure! I had the same problem in the beginning of my pregnancy an before that, but now it is much better!! (I bought lots of ground in the shopping centres, around the West Rand) The one time the manager of a shop had to bring me home, because I was not in a state of driving... My dh was @ work and could not get hold of him - Luwan was with me!) Low Blood Presure, and Low sugar levels...
Lindy - but it is true, you need to take lots of fluits, that helps for the fainting!

I was just outside... and it is approx 5degrees Celcius... Shucks, it is cold!!

Hope you all have a wonderful evening!!! Will go early to bed tonight! Got some medication for this flu type of thing I have!!

Will come and chat and update you tomorrow of Weiss! Can't wait to see him! :))))))

DSTV, internet and Whatsapp on your phone?

Just think, if you had a friend or family member in your condition would you not love to help in any way possible? remember that when you ask people to help, I promise they wont mind just like you wouldnt mind if the 'shoe was on the other foot'

Hello Ladies

Glad to see everyone is doing well :P

Thank you all so much for your prayers and warm wishes. We really appreciate it ;)

Just an update - I am home now. Man oh man I got such a skrik from this all. It really makes you realize how precious life is. I am feeling a little better. Just glad my flu is getting better now. I can feel they put a stitch. The hardest part for me is to stick to bedrest. Its not as easy as people make it out to be but I will do anything to ensure this baby is born with a chance. The gynae that treated me will also now be my new gynae. Hubby and i decided that we cant now travel 2 hours with the problem i have now to see my gynae in Durban. This new gynae is local and he is alot better than i thought. Very sympathetic. He says we have a 50 50 chance. And that if i stick to bedrest then hopefully I can carry to a safe stage in my pregnancy where baby will at least have a chance. But we are still sad to not see our old gynae, he was so good to us. But its whats best for our baby that matters now. I see the new gynae next week Tuesday for a follow up. So really hope to see the gender then too. Since now I have to get our bags ready asap.
My hubby has been so amazing, I really feel so blessed. He is now going to be doing everything for me. Cook dinner, help with showering etc... But we have agreed to get a maid for 2 days a week. The only part is that i cant go shopping now and we need groceries lol so will have to get used to asking family to help. My dad has been amazing, he has been interviewing maids for us. Put bricks under my bed and shame my dog passed away yesterday and he arranged a burial. So sweet. DH and father tried to keep the bad news from me so i wouldnt stress. But my dog was old and i just know she is in a better place.
I feel really bad coz from now on i have to ask people to help with things. I am so used to doing something myself, and so far i am really struggling to let everyone faff around me. Anyway its whats important for baby.

So any ideas how i can keep myself occupied lol?
