Hey Chanz...glad you are doing well. I know exactly how you feel about the heartbeat it's just so comforting...I was so paranoid that I went and bought a Doppler on Saturday.... and we still can't pick up the hb...I was so bummed out and paranoid but on the packaging it says that you can only pick up the hb from 21 weeks so hubby calmed me down. You just stay positive and stay rested. Enjoy your time and pop in more even if you just update us on how you are doing. You don't have to comment or remember what anybody said we just wanna know how you are doing k?

Mariet - Happy Birthday for tomorrow. I am sure having your scan the same day must be so special for you

Deja - shame I am glad your toddler is better now. it must be horrible to have your baby sick. I think as parents we always want to fix everything. Also glad you are better after your flu injection.

Jafraser- Goodluck for your big scan on Friday. I am sure you are super excited

Lizel - planning your little one's birthday party must be so exciting. I love planning parties

Lindy- shame it sux when our hubbies are away. I hate being alone at home. Lol you right about us women not knowing what we want hehehe I also at times wish it was nearing the end of my pregnancy and then other times wish it would go slow coz I love being preg. I just cant wait to meet this precious bundle anymore.

Hello to all the other pregnant fairies

AFM- Last week on bedrest was ok because we had the painter here and so my dad and brother was helping alot so I had some interaction. But DH fired the painter yesterday so today is my first day of really doing nothing. Feels real weird. I was actually saying to DH that since I havent been working I can actually sleep through at night. Made me realize how much stress my job was really giving me. The hospitality industry is really no joke.
Well the baby room is almost done. Curtains are up, cot and compactum is in the room, and all the accessories and clothes we bought over time is packed. I just wanna bring colour into the room once we know what we expecting.
Its my follow up tomorrow with my new gynae. Oh I just can't wait to see bubs again. Might sound paranoid, but that heartbeat will really put me at ease. Deep down I know my baby will be born healthy. But its so scary to know I just have to take each day as it comes. Nothing in life is guaranteed I guess. My body hasnt rejected the stitch (mcdonalds suture) so thats the most important part. Baby hasnt been moving much since I had the stitch put in. But like I told DH i think its coz I am on meds that might be making bubs drowsy.

Anyway its time to watch brothers & sisters lol the joys of staying up late.

you won't believe it but as we speak baby is moving again hehehehehe if it's the right thing i'm feeling then yes but mine is also very low like really really low. sorry for the tmi but almost in line with my hip bones just above my pubic area

my hubby is a general manager for a freight forwarding agent and the problem that he's working on now is goods that they had imported for a mining company and the truck that had been transporting it from the harbor was hijacked and now I think the cargo got lost but it's worth millions of rands but you need special cranes to lift the goods off the truck so very complicated, and it's not like the stolen goods can just be hidden so very suspect and lots of drama . What does your hubby do?

Hi you all!
We are back from Lesotho! It was a lovely weekend!!! JUST EXTREMELY COLD... We don't have an idea of how cold it can be...! The nighs was around -7 degrees and then during the day about 2-4 degrees. Sunday night/Monday morning it was @ 8 o'clock -11 degrees. One of the guys - his Landrover's, the Diesel froze in the tank.... He struggled alot to get his bakkie started...
Luwan enjoyed the snow on Saturday and were enjoying the bum boards... I also did the bum boards.... Something not to do when you are pregnant, but it was really very "lekker" Will post a video of my niece - Leon recorded her... I had the same experience!! I will do it again! But next time sure I won't be pregnant, and will not take a small child with - it is really cold and they don't understand it. Maybe in 3 years time again... I hope!

We are doing good. Weissi skicking up a storm and I trust that he is ok!

Deja - sorry to hear that Nienke was in hospital and had to postpone the b'day party. That is really not nice!

Lizel - I'm sorry about yout plasenta not being in the right place! Trust that everything will be ok! Enjoy the parties planning - seems I'll be missing it as well... (Things out of my control!)

Mariet!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow !!! I'm saying happy happy now cuase I'll only be able to come online tomorrow night again. Very Very excited about your big scan tomorrow!! you so lucky your hubby didn't have to go away! Mine left today for Zambia and he's only back on Wednesday night so me and baba gonna be very lonely. Think I'm gonna book in for the pampering tomorrow night maybe.

AFM I'm home all alone again! DH gone away to Zambia again!! I wish they would just sort out that case already so he can be home with me and baba! Selfish I know but I'm feeling very very emotional again. Baby is doing fine I think I can't believe I still have to wait so long for my next appointment it just feels to far away!! I also can't believe in 5 days I will be halfway with this pregnancy already!! Time just flies by hey? Even though I'm always complaining about how long it goes hahaha typical woman we don't know what we want hahaha

Well good night from me going to hit that "club duvet" early tonight!

We're going for our "big 20 week scan" on friday - can't wait, hopefully baby plays along and shows us whether to buy pink or blue!! And i started feeling baby move last week - so cool...
