HELLO to EVERYONE Hope you are all doing well and that your LO's are kicking well.

Glad you are all doing well. You ladies definitely chat up a storm. Lol with all the painting my house is really deurmekaar.

AFM- Well doing well. Bubs started giving hard kicks yesterday. Was too precious, i was walking at spar and approaching the till and as i stopped this kung fu kick came. Kinda like baby was saying "dont stop moving mum LOL".
We are very excited, tomorrow is our detailed scan and we really hope to see if its a boy or girl
Today its 20 weeks. Can't believe I am half way already. Time flies. The painters have started painting the baby room. So hopefully by the weekend I can shampoo the carpet and move the cot and compactum in.
Had a good giggle on Tuesday, I wore my very uncomfy workpants to work and they ripped by the zip area. Luckily I had my jersey to cover. But DH had a good giggle. So as from yesterday I have been wearing dresses to work. Just hope I dont get into trouble for not wearing my safety shoes.

My back is still killing me, it was a little better today, because I try not to pick up Luwan too much! But it is difficult - he must get in and out of the car... into his feeding chair. Then he just wants to be picked up! He is still "playing" with his brother. He kisses my belly, and talk long stories with "boetie"! Think he is very excited!

Joey - Thank you for the link regarding the on the back sleep.... Eish, the second time round I kind of forgot about that! Normally I sleeps on my side, so it is not really a problem, but there is times when I lie on my back!

Lizel - geluk met jou suster se swangerskap! Ek hou styf duim vas en vertrou dat dit sal goed gaan!!

Claire - thats a good idea - saving the money and shopping later. I'm just stocking up on nappies at the moment.

Lindy - I also struggled with headaches - and believe it or not it was caffeine withdrawal! My doc said rather have your 1 cup a day than Panado long term. Have you cut out coffee? I also had the pains and I was told that it was ligament pain, I had it with my entire first pregnancy, but not this time.

Liz - I saw the most beautiful bedding at baby city, its very expensive though. I am very lucky to have a super talented seamstress mother who'll be making ours. If you are looking for amazing fabrics try treehouse. They have ready made ones but also pricey - they sell the material too. All their stuff is pure cotton so it stays nice and is gentle on baby skin.

Anyone else been struggling with UTI? I've been in the ER with pain once and at the doc every week for 3 weeks. I have been on antibiotics for 5days x 3 courses. The doc has now changed the antibiotic and I am also taking cranberry tablets and practically drowning myself with the amount of water I'm drinking.

Claire - I can think there is a big difference in the shopping pattern of 1st and 2nd baby. Hehehe, I just want to spend my whole salary on cute things, I was looking at baby bedding even before I got pregnant....

Talking of baby bedding, where are you ladies going to buy, or are you making it yourself?

Shame Lindy, sounds like you're really having a hard time. Hopefully all the bad things will subside soon. I was never a "back-sleeper", but now if I lay on my back, it feels very uncomfortable. But I didn't know that it could be harmful to baby. Thanks for the info Joey! I learn something new everyday....

I try not sleep on my back, But most of the time i wake up on my back And it is Comfy.

Hey ladies sorry I forgot to ask, is anyone still sleeping on their backs? I read somewhere that its bad but I find it really comfy. Why is it bad?

Hey thanks you two for the response, it's comforting to know that you are also feeling those type of pains.

Claire why did you say "hope you wrote down the date" is there any old wives tale to that? I am also really struggling to sleep..... but it's been because of these headaches, and when I turn around in my sleep the baby doesn't like that and I get this crampy type of pain in my uterus. I have also said this pregnancy has not been fun. don't get me wrong I am over joyed at being pregnant but dam this has been hard on me..... Like some kind of invasion...weird but I'm happy to roll with it!
