Liz, that's great of your boss to understand like that, am sure you've started a countdown to the 25th.....LOL

All the best Tanz, you doctor doesn't give me much confidence sounds like she'll cut you first chance she gets.
If you truly have your heart set on natural birth, I would suggest you change doctors...but that's my 2 cents.
You LO sounds healthy Tanz and keep up the good work....growing that little one.

Ladies, pls say a small prayer for my friend Olwethu, her baby has to be delivered today and she's only 26 weeks pregnant.

Morning Ladies,

Lindy - haha, I was so mad I forgot to give an update on what she said about baba! LMAO!

She said he is not a very big baby (not sure what she meant with that), he is 2.6kg now and healthy. He has already turned and is lying head down, but she said he should start to move downwards now. Next week she will do an internal to check my pelvic bones etc to determine if I am able to give birth naturally... Not really much more than that...

Good news is from 34 - 36 weeks I only picked up 700g! yay!!!

Liz - Dis nice van jou baas om so te sê... Ek maak vandag klaar, en my baas "hyperventilate" al heel week van senuwees. Nou lag ek lekker, dit sal jou leer om jou eie werk te doen vir 'n slag! haha!

Lizel - ek weet, dit is baie scary! Alhoewel ek moet sê, partykeer wens ek dit was al verby! (klink seker lelik) Maar as hy nou net vlak genoeg kom lê haal ek hom sommer self uit!

Bule - She has now just scared me more! I thought I was doing pretty well, until she said these things... I am actually very dissapointed. She has always been very pro- natural birth, but I got the feeling she was trying to persuade me otherwise... When she asked me why I wanted a natural birth, I said because I believe that God made our bodies so we could do it that way... I didnt even get to the rest, and she said, that I can't say things like that because God made C-Sections too. So my argument held now water. I have never left her rooms so dissapointed before! If she doesnt support me now, how will it be on the day of the birth????

Elrike - ek is bly Edrich groei so mooi! Dis 'n taamlike gewiggie daai, g'n wonder jou rug is so seer nie! LOL. Ek hou saam met jou duim vas vir die 11de!

Was Maandag by die dr, Paul weeg nou omtrent 2.2kg, ons is albei baie gesond. Ek was net vies vir die vroutjie wat die urine monster geneem het, sy het die telling verkeerd geneem, en verkeerdelik toe my vinger geprik, my suiker is piekfyn. Grrrrr.

Het ook gister met die baas gepraat oor my maternity leave, en toe ek sê ek werk tot die 25ste, het hy nogals gesê dis bietjie fyn gesny, ek moet luister na my liggaam en ophou werk as ek so voel. Dit was baie nice! Oh well, teen volgende week sou hy seker vergeet het wat hy gesê het. Soos wat ek nou voel, gaan ek nou huis toe! LOL!!!

Ons kry vandag jaffles by die werk, hmmmmmmmmm!

Lindy, I've been having the same discharge as well....midwife said it normal.
Even leaking a little water is normal but if its more than a cup then see a doctor quickly. Now your discharge being a tinge of orange is a bit worrying, I'd say go see you gynae.
The contractions sounds a lot like Braxton Hicks but combined with the orange tinged discharge, I'd say see your gynae rather.

So, its Thursday.....one lala then Friday and last day at work....
Lindy, we're almost there, counting hours now....

Tanz shame man on the gynae scaring you like that. Hope you're practicing the relaxation and breathing exercises from the antenatal class. It will help when you feel afraid of the birth.

Lindy time them, if they are regular go to the maternity ward. discharge is fairly common. But trust your instincts and rather be safe and go to maternity ward to be monitored for a while. Keep us posted please

Morning Ladies

Ok so here comes a very tmi question....but is it normal to have a thick mucous discharge around 34 weeks...first it was thick and white not clear like a milky white but yesterday I had some that was yellow and orange tinged. I also think that I have been having contractions about every half an hour for a minute??? Not sure though they not sore but my tummy pulls stiff and hard?? Is it maybe because of the dehydration that this is happening?

Please help
