Sorry to hear about your Oupa Deja.
Not an easy decision about the travel but am praying that whatever you decide, you will be ok and not be so sad anymore.

Be strong

Hi girls

Just quickly, I am a bit pressed for time. My granddad died this morning. I was fine the whole day and now I am very sad. I would've gone to the funeral this weekend in Stilbaai but my dad now doesn't want me to travel that far. It's about 8-9 hours drive. So now I don't know. I really want to go but it makes sense not going.

Just want to say Chanz, you are doing amazing!

Hi ladies

That is awesome news Chanz about little Michael, and keep with the pumping it really will help bring the milk in.
All the best to you and family.

Claire there is no way you can put me off SAHM, I'm praying for it to happen and soon, but then time can only tell. DH also started his own business and am hoping that'll be my ticket out of the rat race.

Deja, pls take it easy girl.

Lizel, I wouldn't worry about baby not being down yet, it really is too early.
I think your OB/GYN is just itching to use his scapel.

Had my antenatal with the midwife today, she really is great and so chilled.
And she has been doing so many VBAC and VBAMC deliveries lately which I think is awesome and I feel so much better than I'm not alone in wanting natural after c-sections. We talked thru what to prepare for the homebirth, she gave me a list too.
Baby's head down but not engaged....not worried about that at all, apparently african women engage much later.....and the heartbeart was clear and strong, blood pressure good and nothing more to report there.

Next appointment on the 18th, can't wait. Another countdown to keep me busy :)

I'm just craving some quiet that's all. Kids couldn't go to gran in PE but will send them to my mom's for a few days.

Cheers ladies
B

Hello Pregnant Fairies :)

I am glad to see you are all doing well except for the pregnancy niggles.

Joey I hope your womb monkey comes soon ;)

I briefly read through all the posts. thanks for the warm wishes ladies. Support is much appreciated B)

Just an update- Michael has been off his little bit of oxygen since 4am this morning. So he is doing really really well. And mommy and daddy is so proud :P
And me, I am coping. I really really want to breastfeed. My milk hasnt come in properly yet. I know it will take time but in the mean time I have been putting him to my breasts so he can also learn to latch and so that I can bond and in return help my milk come in. Yesterday he latched on much better. Sucked a couple times and then he got tired - poor munchkin. He is slightly yellow but not enough for phototherapy. My midwife has advised to express every 3 hours even if there isnt milk coming out. Just so my breasts can get stimulated.
We just can't wait to bring him home.

Ladies all I can say is trust your instinct. I was in labour since Tuesday last week. They sent me home on wednesday and on Friday I was back in hospital. They couldnt pick up my contractions on the ctg at all. Yet my pains were 5min apart. I knew I was in labor but the machines just didnt show it. Only once I was transferrred and the stitch was removed did the ctg pick up my contractions. Literally it picked it up 3 contractions before he popped out. Amazing.
I will try post my birth story ;)

I hope you all have a great day. I dont have a bb but I do have wotsapp - 082 452 9821.

Will try pop in again ;)

Deja - did you hear from your dr? Take it easy now...just a few more weeks then you can run around as much as you want (which is a little like the pot calling the kettle black!) Honestly this pregnancy has been a lot easier than the last. Not so many symptoms. I'm just much bigger this time and feeling more tired and uncomfortable...but I think that's more to do with chasing a 2 year old all day than anything else.

Lindy - lol! If I speak to you now about being a SAHM, I might put you off forever!!! :P I think my situation is very different to others though. See, my DH works from home. We rent a 2 bedroom place so his "office" is in the lounge. The property we stay on is really big and there is a lot of stuff lying around that Colby could hurt himself with eg: piles of building bricks, an open carport which is being used for storage, an open fish pond, a car trailer (the list goes on and on) So basically, he needs supervision all the time outside, which is, of course, the only place he ever wants to be. So, he stands at the door and screams and cries to go out. In normal circumstances, I would be able to let him have his little tantrum and let him learn that he can wait for me....but my DH is trying to work/talking to a client/on the phone with his boss - so I can't. Add to that the fact that we don't have a maid and we all know what men are like...I have 2 in my house all day. Every morning, I wake up and it's like the reset button has been pressed and all the work I did the day before has disappeared. It's a little soul destroying. So, ja, not loving it at the moment, but usually I do. I think it's like any job...you always have one or 2 days when you think 'why am I doing this?' It'll pass soon...the sleep deprivation definitely does not help.

Hi there fellow fairies

Joey shame sorry you in pain I hope it gets better real quick. Sorry for the ignorance but how does the "bones" get inflamed?

Lol skitterling you make me laugh. Does driving help to bring on labour?

Hey Elrike are you talking about your tummy measurement? I must also have a look and see what mine is, will be nice to keep a record of that.

Ahhh shame Lizel.... :( sorry well I'll say a prayer and everything will happen as it should. Just as long as mommy and baby is healthy nothing else matters.

Hey Mariette glad to see you back sorry I didn't have Chanz's nr still trying to get it I'm sure she has her hands full now...hehehe

Hey Claire thanks for the suggestion and Katie is now on the list! B) Sorry your boy is not well...... U mean u would rather work?? I am so excited to be a SAHM....but now you got me worried. I mean I know it's not a walk in the park but is it better to go back to work?

Hey Deja...sorry you had those cramps what did the doc say?

We are both doing really well the move with work is exhausting but none the less we are doing well. We painted baby's room this weekend and it is starting to look really nice. I also went and bought the rocking chair...(I ended up buying the lazy-boy rocker) figured I'll be spending allot of time in it so I might as well get something comfy.

Chanz and Logansmom I hope you are doing well and I am so looking forward to the updates from you two.

Hi all

CONGRATS Logans Mom! Wow, two of our babies have been born.

Joey and Skitter, am so looking forward to both of you going into labour. Please let us know when things start happening. :-)

Mariet, so jammer ons kon nie kom nie. Was in Bloem. Dit sou so lekker wees!

Lizel, I would suggest the same as Claire. Meditation can also help. If you meditate and talk to her. Tell her how you want her to lie and listen to how she wants you to birth. Sounds weird, I know but whatever. It works.

Elrike, watse swem doen jy? Kan jy alleen swem? Laat Luwan jou toe? Nienke het Vrydagmiddag vir my sit en kyk, want sy't gereken die water is te koud. Hahah!

Claire, shame, sounds as if you had a really rough weekend! Does Colby still sleep during the day? Try and get some sleep with him!
And hope you don't get sick as well. How are you feeling?

Chanz, how is it going? Have you been home? How is little Michael? I also thought he is a GREAT weight.
Can you breastfeed or how does it work?

AFM, I went to Bloem Medi-Clinic yesterday to be monitored, had those period pains again yesterday. I think it was all the excitement and stress of driving on my own etc. MUST take things more calmly. Baby well and healthy and strong, though. So all good. Will phone my doctor at 12.
