Hi Laliek,
I can tell you my experience (however I cannot comment on which one is better as I have neevr had natural)
Here are the answers to your questions based on my experience:
1. did you ladies that had a c-section really find it that sore and bad?
My csection went really well and i can truly say that I never felt excruciating pain. I had a morphine pump for the first 24 hours and I was taking my pills regularly so thats probably why I never felt the pain. It was tender but not painful. I walked up straight the next day and had a shower by myself. I was walking up and down the corridors with no hassle (obviously I could not sprint but I had no hassle in even taking stairs)
2. Was the recovery process difficult?
I recovered very quickly and the tenderness went away at the end of week 2.
3. How long did it take for you to recover?
By the time I got home, I could do everything that I used to do. I did try and rest but I could do the cooking cleaning and I even bathed my baby by myself with no hassles. The scar was already healed by the time I had my 6 week checkup. The scar on the inside takes a bit longer to heal but I dont know how long that took as I felt fine all the time.
3. How soon were you on your feet?
Day 2
4. Does it really interfere with getting back into shape after the birth?
I got back to pre-pregnancy weight when my baby was 5 months. However I was not really following any diet plans and allowed myself time for the weight to fall off. I did put on some weight after that but was totally urelated to the csec (it was more because I was pigging out at the midnight feeds

) Lol!
I trust that you will make the right decision for yourself.
