She employed you, knowing that you have one baby and knowing that most mommies wants more than one after the first one starts walking... It will work out, and by the time you go on leave, you'd have been there for at least a year already. So I think its reasonable.

Nixie, I have 2 babies with a 16 month gap between them. I am working as a teacher ("half day job" that keeps you busy 24/7) and studying. You can do it!!!

Maternity leave might actually give you that little gap to study a bit more and pass with flying colours. Good luck!!!

can i please also get some advice on this topic. Hubby dearly wants me to fall pregnant. our LB is 16months old.

But i just started a new job 3 months ago and they are paying for all my studdies, a chance i cannot say no for. Even id i do fall pregnant in December (as i agreed we can start TTC in December) this will totally screw with my studdies.... but also My haert starts longing for a second one!

so how do i choose??

Don't worry, it's totally normal! I have 2 kids already, and emotionaly, practically, financially there is no way I want another one, but at the same time I don't want my hubby to go for a vasectomy, because I don't want the chance taken away!
I even have times before my period is supposed to start, that I have daydreams about what it would be like to pregnant again (all the good things of course), and the feeling of having a baby move inside you, and then I could persuade myself to do it all again (luckily my hubby definitely won't agree, so that's my control measure). can easily override your brain

For me that is how it starts.

Then I start googling ovulation charts, and holding on to new born baby clothes, and looking longingly at pregnant women, and recalling only the sweet beautiful parts of pregnancy and newborn babies .... forgetting the horrible parts.

I start to think about it - and then start to plan s.e.x. with an outcome ..... very subtly of course.

It sort of creeps up on you ........ almost at the exact same time that you have just started to get a semblance of order or sanity with your present baby.

Somewhere logical leaves and compulsive obsession kicks in .... can't say when exactly ..... maybe at about the time when you are actually starting to think of baby names and what month would be better for you ......
