How long were you in labour?

went to bed around 10pm. noticed what I thought was BH. At 10:30 started timing them (not painful at all...just hardening of tummy). They were 3-4 minutes apart...EEEKKK should already be going to hospital!!

Decided it isnt labour since it wasnt sore... got up, chatted on facebook, packed a few of the things for hospital bag, prepared cat food etc. at 1am made up the bed for my mom (she was arriving the next day!) DH woke and asked what the hell I was doing. Said contractions now 3 mins apart and think I'm in labour. He freaked and said we must leave NOW. I still needed to finish hospital bags and have a shower. We eventually left at 02:30am.

Hospital 1 hour drive away, contractions now a little uncomfortable and I am breathing through them then chatting on blackberry in between. Now 2-3 mins apart.

Get to hospital and settled by 4am. I am 5cm dilated (yippee!) I now pace up and down during contractions but can still half smile.
I am checked 1 hour later (5am) and I'm 7cm dilated and they phone my midwife.
She arrives at 6am and I'm now 8-9cm dilated, I ask her to break my waters to speed things up.

at 7am I'm fully dilated and pushing. Baby born at 7:33am.

So from the time I noticed contractions until the birth it was about 8-9 hours.
From the time the pain was unbearable to birth was about an hour and a half.
I found that when I was fully dilated and able to push, the contractions were not sore at all anymore. But just sitting there waiting beforehand with contractions was horrible

3 and a half days!!!
It went to me then being induced as I wasn't pregressing, that also didn't work other than making the pain worse and then ending in an emergency c-section as after all that I only dilated 1cm not cool

This time around I am going to have a planned c-section as my endo has scarred inside so much I am now not meant to go into labour oh well, as long as I get my baba safe and sound all is good!

Waters broke on a Fri 6pm. First twinge felt at 11:30 pm the following Monday. Persistent feeling of needing the loo at 12 am. Sudden onset of active labour at 12:30 am. 7 cm at 1:30 am. Baby born at 2:35 am via Caesar but was already half out so assume if it had happened naturally it wouldn’t have taken place much longer after then. So in total more or less 3 hours.

I have a friend who woke up at 6am and got to hospital just in time to pop her baby out at 7:30am and without time to even get to the birthing room she gave birth in the hospital bed =) What a pleasure!

Woke up at 02h00am, thought I had to pee, but something was dripping (still do not know if that was my water??) not having contractions, I went back to bed.

Went to hospital after phoning gynie. Contractions started at around 10am. waited for everyone else to get they're c-secs done. And baba was born 19h25pm by c-sec. No pushing involved LOL

For me it was 16 hours of active labour

Oh and waters only broke about an hour- hour and a half before I started pushing
