file Those who have planned another baby...

15 years 3 weeks ago #207010 by MissesMom
We had said when Em was born we would talk about having another child when she turned 4. I think I was a week pregnant when she turned 4.
We discussed how we would introduce the baby to Em, and what we would do to make sure Em never felt neglected.

Financially it hasn't been that different, babies dont cost too much, but I'm sure that will change once Kate is also at school.

It is easier, but at the same time its harder. Easier cause you kinda know how to deal with a baby, harder because suddenly you're dealing with a baby and your first born, so thats new.

We send Em to play therapy so she can have someone to talk to any upset that brining a baby into the house may have caused. We have to dedicate time alone with Em, both DH and myself. And then we need to ensure that we also spend time as a family, so its juggling everything and making sure no-one gets left out in the cold so to speak.

That being said, I am over the moon that we have another angel. I cannot imagine my life with out my girls.

Slms Nayeela,

Jus my 2cents...... Children comes from Allah, we always wonder how are we going to handle it but he never gives us anything we can't handle.

You could make a decision to just have K as carry on as normal and take contraceptives etc etc but if Allah wishes for you to have no2 it will come no matter how many contraceptives you on.

What im trying to say is that i know you want to give K the best, i also want to give my lg the best but Allah is the best of planners and we can just make dua for the best.

Every child comes with its own rizq so im sure that should you have a second child all will be okay if you leave everything in Allah's hand and obviously effort from ourselves.

Mwah

I Know exactly how you feel - We also arent living an extravagant lifestyule, but also eat what we want and but "what we want" obviously within reason. We do plan to send our LO to a private school. It is a thought, but I do believe on makes a plan. I dont know - maybe its a Stupid thought. But I have always wanted 2 babies and Know I will regret it. It really is a difficult thing to plan as no one knows what will happen in the future.....Good luck with the decision!

Thank you for your reply.

Initially we wanted 2 and then now that we have K we thought that we will stick to 1 as everything is working so perfectly. We are not struggling financially, we can give her the best etc. DH is determined to only have 1 child but lately I have been thinking that maybe I might want another 1 but I do have questions that am scared by. I am most scared of the financial aspect of it. What if second baby come and now we have to downscale our lifestyle or have to sacrifice on the stuff we use to get K. I would feel guilty of that. We do not lead an extravagant lifestyle and we have oth worked very hard for what we have. At this stage, I can still afford to travel once a year and go on vacationn, we eat whatever we want and we can afford to send K to the creche she goes to and with one child we would probably be able to go the private school route.

With 2 am not so certain about all the security I now have but I do feel that as I get older I may want to have another child. I have been so broody this month! Lol! My heart would want another 1 but logic is telling me a different story :)

Hi Nayeela,

Our LB is currently 16 months and we are TTC for No2. I must say I have always wanted at least 2 kids. If things werent so expensive I would LOVE 4 kids....

I have always wanted my 2 babies close - no more than 2,5 yrs (cant always plan...)

Regarding finances - One never feels financially ready (we we didnt) but are you ever? I guess you make a plan. Its the school feel Im worried about

How many babas do you and hubby want?

Let me first say that this is just something that has crossed my mind and I am not actually TTC'ing :)

1. Those who have had 1 child, how did you decide to have another child? Did you always know that you would want to have more than one child?

2. How do you cope financially? Did you have to make a plan or do you make enough money to be able to afford another baby?

3. Did any of you have had to have a change of lifestyle to accomodate for the new baby?

4. Does it really become easier when you have had 1 child already? :)

Thanks
