Shame this is so sad.

Strange how people quickly focus on deaths with a natural delivery YET ignore the deaths that happen more with csecs.
And even more sad, Gynaes will tell preg moms about cases like these to bully them into having a csec :(

I so badly wanted a home birth with my son, but my DH wasn't keen so we settle on a natural birthing clinic but things still didn't work to plan when I landed up having a c-section anyways, but if I could choose, I would definately still opt for home birth! I would definately rather have a home birth than a birth in a state hospital. My sister just had her baby today at a government hospital. She was induced yesterday at 11am, her dh was not allowed to be with her. She called him at 3am this morning (16 hours later) to tell him she was in labour, he arrived at hospital but was still not allowed in until she was in delivery room - at 6am he was allowed in and at 7am baby was born - now really - a home birth would have been much easier!

One of my clients gave birth to her 3rd child earlier this month - at home in her lounge without a midwife even - the way she wanted it. Good for her. I'm jealous!

Very tragic about this lady.

That is so so tragic. Why can't people just pay their respects and leave the rest unsaid.

That is so sad!

If you look at what goes on at hospitals these days...I would say homebirthing is just as safe as giving birth at a hospital!

That would be great MissesMom!!! Women need a homely place to have a baby, you never feel at home at a hospital!
