hi Ladies,

Thank you for the warm welcome. i need some advice, the 1st trimester i couldnt drink my vitamins at all i would vomit every time and recently started drinking them but what i do is open the capsule and pour the content into some juice and gulp it. is this sufficient?

heartburn is my everyday nightmare but just like the capsules the maarlox and gaviscon would make me vomit. what else can i use thats not in medicine format.

Hello ladies

momtoc - yes thanks, the movicol finally kicked in after drinking it twice for a couple of days, finally feel "empty"... Sorry tmi... I have Fybogel too but when I drink it I feel  . You definitely show sooner, second time around, when I was pregnant with the twins my bump was way smaller at 16 weeks than I am now! But somewhere along the line I believe it will "even out".

Magz - enjoy your weekend! And I can't wait to hear your update after your Monday scan!

Welcome Palesa, and congratulations on your pregnancy!

klk, also not sure about Nando's mayo but I know the popular brands mayo are safe, just the home made ones you need to be careful of.

AFM, feeling exhausted today, haven't felt like this in weeks. Contemplating if I should ask hubby to go home, I should probably just do it. I've been eating so much lately, and its not always very healthy... Had a craving for a egg and mayo sandwich this morning, so I brought the gas stove, pots and the works to the office! :silly:

Hello ladies

Mandri, such a cute bump. I will take one saturday morning & then post as soon as I can. How is the constipation? Did you up the movicol to twice a day?

klk, I know they say you need to avoid homemade mayo & anything that has raw egg in it like, cake batter, cookie batter etc but apparently the mayo you buy in shops are safe as they go through alot of processes to pasteurize it. Just not sure if Nando's uses their own mayo

Magz, you must enjoy your mini getaway. Where are you guys going?
I don't have any cravings yet. I was just like you but with ice-cream in the beginning of my pregnancy. If I walked past those ice-cream places in shopping centres, I just had to get some :-)

Palesa, welcome. May you have a wonderful, healthy pregnancy. It just shows how amazing God is & that nothing is impossible with HIM. Congratulations on falling pregnant even while having PCOS

Ms_S, if the fizzy drinks help with the nausea, then do what you have to do.

babyzee, I also love spicy food but I'm trying to avoid it as much as possible cause otherwise I'm going to sit with heartburn & don't have the energy for that. So glad all went well with your scan last week.

AFM, The DulcoFibre is definitely working & easing the constipation & I've been taking it twice a day for 4 days so far. I'm really impressed. The taste is tolerable, alhough I can't wait to finish the box. I think I'm gonna be huge with this pregnancy the way my stomach is looking for only being 14 weeks hahaha. I know they say most women start showing earlier with their 2nd one but man oh man, I'm not sure if I need to worry & I'm eating so much as well :pinch: I really need to start taking some control here. I also want to go back to gym & start exercising. I don't want to go put on unnecessary extra weight..

Morning ladies

sorry i've been AWOL...work has just been insane the past few days.

I'm looking forward to a mini getaway with DH this weekend for some R&R!

I'm due on 12 Novemeber...but i'll confirm if we're team blue/pink after my scan on Monday afternoon! I cant contain my excitement..... :woohoo:

Talking about food...i'm having serious savoury pastry issues (sausage rolls & pies). I cant seem to walk past one without shoving it in my mouth...i really have to try control it...

Welcome Palesa...and thank you for sharing your story. Wishing you a beautiful, stress free pregnancy. Our due dates are about a week apart ;)

hi Ladies,

im a newbee and so excited to be part of the group. my name is Palesa im married, with an almost 8 year old(July).

After having laparoscopy in February last year and finding out this year February i had cysts again my hopes of being a mommy were shattered. I had a complex cyst on my right ovary and PCOS(small cycts around my ovary)on my left. the radiolygist and Gp told me long stories of how long it would be before i can conceive and i obviuosly went for second opinions and everyone juts wanted to cut me open.

i decided to stop everything and just pretend the cysts we gone. on the 12 March i had this servere pain and went to the gaeny to set up an appointment to remove the cysts and guess what the scan showed i was pregnant.

The 1st three months were torture i vomited contantly and used all the remedies people gave me and nothing worked. i`m know 17 weeks pregnant and over that hurdle. i wish i could make time go faster but thats impossible so im enjoying every moment.

my due date is the 22 November 2012

On the 12 of March

Yum..now I also want nandos. Unfortunately, there's no Nandos in the town that I stay :(

Can't imagine a world where I'd have to quit mayo! There hasn't been any food that I've been avoiding..except maybe coffee and sushi. I still drink quite a lot of gas cooldrink, especially ginger beer. The fizzy sensation down my throat helps with the nausea that I'm still experiencing!! :swear: as soon as the nausea and vomiting stops, I'll give it up!
