Any one recently been to Die Wilgers hospital for

I hope by December the food will have improved! Or Mr Delivery will be working overtime!

Like i said i had my LG there and was very very happy. The staff were really lovely. I got a 4D scan included in my bed booking & antenatal classes at the hospital as well.

The midwife who looked after me all day was wonderful, i was induced at 9am and again at 12 and she was just great as was the one who ended up delivering. My LG was in NICU for 12 days and the staff there were really great and made the whole experience so much easier. Especially when i struggled to BF.

I wish i were still living there so i could have my next one there...

Like I have said earlier...The food was bad...The doctor who was treating my daughter warned us beforehand.

There is a Nando's across the road from the hospital. There is also a woolworths food closeby.

(I like good food. When sick I don't want horrible food )

The other thing is to complain with a senior person the moment you are not happy about something.

Tanz I would also like to know how the maternity ward is, I'm also going there for my c-section in December.

So far I've only been to the gynae's rooms, haven't been in the hospital so don't know what to expect.

Tanz - how did you find the maternity wards at Wilgers?

I had my son there in Nov 2011 and he was admitted there again in April with Bronchitis. I was very happy there! Would go there any day again!

My kidney was removed at Wilgers, I had both my D&C's and my little girl was born there(2011) and was very happy with there service. Was recently at Kloof for another procedure and it was a horrible experience, would go back to Wilgers any day. I think the key is to complain with a high ranking person as soon as you experience a problem. GOOD luck !!
