Natural or C-Sec?

If you want him to see first-hand, google hypnobirth videos. I actually found them a bit *boring* because the women are so calm and relaxed and there's none of the screaming and yelling and swearing that you see on movies when it comes to birth LoL

MommyMe - I first started looking into hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first son. My husband was VERY sceptical but was willing to support me and let me attend the classes. I signed up but then my son was born before I ever went to any of them. So all I had was what I had read on the internet, and I used those breathing techniques during the labour. I basically slept through it all! I hadn't yet learnt how to birth the baby using hypnobirthing and so that part was very painful.

However, when my husband saw how amazingly calm and relaxed I was during labour, just based on what I had READ about hypnobirthing, he was the first one to suggest I enrol for the full class when we fell pg with our second son. And that time we actually DID get to attend the classes and so I knew exactly how to breathe during the actual birth. To this day he is totally amazed at how relaxed and callm I was and whenever we meet pregnant people, even total strangers, HE's the one that brings it up and urges people to attend the classes. He is totally 100% convinced

I think also, new moms have so much information at their fingertips with all the books and blogs and forums etc, and then friends and family members tell you their birth stories and how their pregnancy went etc, its so much information to take on and at the end of the day you have this set image in your mind of how things are going to go.
Nobody tells you about the "what ifs" and nobody can describe what you will experience with your own journey.
I know for next time that the less I read in books & magazines, the better!!
Everybodies experiences are different But beautiful non-the-less!

Ek se gewoonlik, kry net jou man by klas 1 uit, die eerste klas van die sessie is great, dit swing meeste skeptiese pappas want ons verduidelik die werking van die baarmoeder, hormone en hypnose so mooi in klas 1 dat hulle rasionele koppe vinnig agter kom dat daar niks weird aan is nie.

I'm going to do this in English so that more people can understand:

HypnoBirthing is a full antenatal course. We focus on natural birth. You will learn relaxation techniques (self hypnosis) which are not any different from the type of relaxation you do while reading a book or watching tv. It is something we all do daily.

You will also learn how your body works, how the uterus works, what hormones plays an important role during labour and how these systems (body, uterus, hormones) can work together to create a comfortable birth.

Then you will learn tools such as the self hypnosis, breathing techniques etc to help you get the best possible response from your body during labour and so give you a more comfortable birthing experience.

The really great thing about it is that not only do we as mommies experience a calmer more comfortable birth with the use of HypnoBirthing, but more importantly, our babies have a calmer and more comfortable entrance into this world. This in turn makes for a calmer easier baby!

Moms using HypnoBirthing experience less "3rd day blues" and less post natal depression, while babies are usually more relaxed and have less problems like colic etc.

Ek stel baie belang in die hypnobirthing en het dit ook so aan my man genoem. Hy is nie baie "vir" enige snaakse goed nie,maar ek het vir hom verduidelik dat als baie natuurlik is en baie beter is as net gewone geboorte probeer gee.

Hoe kan ek v hom verduidelik sodat hy kan verstaan (en ek self) presies wat dit behels. ek was al op die website en wil ook graag v iemand epos om meer uit te vind.
