Hi All

Just came across the following review:

Best Pram To Buy In South Africa

Jessecia, March 11, 2014

Chelino – Larenza Switch 4 Wheel Umbrella Fold Travel System, has been voted the best pram to buy in South Africa by Cape Town mothers. This came as no surprise during the baby indaba which was held at the Convention Centre. Chelino competed with other 240 prams and strollers and some of them new in South Africa. According to our reporter, 73.4 % of the mothers that were there chose it as the best pram.

“This is the most epic travel system offered to the South African market to date making every mothers dream a reality.
Tastefully designed with PU leather and English country trim fabric, this makes the Chelino Larenza Switch travel system the ultimate in haute couture.
Stroller:
Reversible Handle
Sun canopy
Front bar
Reversible seat
Shopping basket
Futuristic wheels
Compact fold

Car Seat:
Sun canopy
Head support pillow with shoulder pads
One pull adjusting inner harness
Easy grip handle with safety indicator

Carry Cot:
Sun canopy
Adjustable backrest
Easy grip handle
Air-vent lever”

I enquired and you can also get a separate base fro the car seat at an additional cost, which makes it easier.

Oh wow :woohoo: That makes a HUGE difference!!! Thanks for sharing!

A former colleague of mine advised me against the Twister, as she had one and said she "had to take her husband's fortuner as the pram didn't fit into her polo... So it will most definitely NOT fit into my Fiesta..."

I will load a pic a bit later today. The Twister folds up pretty small, fits into the boot of my Diahatsu Sirion?

Hi AmyReally

Thank you! You're the only person that I've come across that's actually got the baby buggz... Which also makes me hesitant! I mean if it was as amazing, certainly more people would have it? I love the look of the pram!!! The design, the funky vibe etc... But yes - a concern is if it really is as sleek folded as on the YouTube video they show you.

I'm really opting more and more for the Chelino Switch travel system... It offers everything as the baby buggz system (frame, car seat, carry cot), but it folds into the umbrella fold, which can easily fit behind the driver's seat if needed. It's just the colour/pattern design... but I guess I can live with that.

Alternatively the Chelino C3 or the Larenza system... It's similar in design to the Peg Perego Pliko 3...with a MUCh smaller price tag!

Hi TCS84

Mine has it also don't know if it is necessary but it is handy.

Keeps my LO in there  but it is also great for putting his toys in front of him and I see he likes to grab hold of the bar to steady himself.

Hope this helps

Hi Ladies

Thank you all for your feedback. I will look into all the suggested prams!!!

Tell me, some of the prams have a feeding tray and cup holder in the front for the baby.

is it necessary? handy?

Hi Louise Marie, just a note on the baby buggz travel system...I currently have this pram. It's nice and easy to navigate etc. But it is a bit bulky (we have to remove the wheels in order for it to fit in our polos boot). Also I'm not a fan of the car seat, my son was always unhappy in it. As soon as we got the bigger car seat (at 6.5 months old) he is like a different baby in the car!
Other than that, the pram is great.

Goodluck with all your choices!
