The wonders of pregnancy

So true Zaza, it's such a miracle.

I'm currently 34 weeks, nearing the end of my journey, and after all these weeks, even with all the pregnancy niggles, I must say that it still amazes me at
how our bodies change to accommodate this tiny little life inside us.

When this little one starts to stretch and kick I still find myself thinking about how absolutely amazing it is. Nothing in the world can be more precious than feeling the tiny life that you have created growing and moving inside you.

I think we as women are truly blessed to be able to experience the miracle of life.

As I approach my half way mark (20 weeks) I find myself in deep thought about the wonders of being pregnant as my symptoms went from crazy (1st trimester) to absolutely normal (2nd trimester) and onward to the 3rd (lets see what happens).

Some of us thus far has had good, not so good and some even difficult experiences being pregnant thus and it is a long journey (40 weeks - 10 months) filled with so much emotions, yet no matter the situation then, now or later there is really a miracle happening inside of us that amazes me:

- the sperm cell is one of the smallest cells in the male body and the ovum is the largest cell in the female body, they both have only a small window of opportunity to meet and merge to set the motion of our developing babies
- imagine as our babies grow inside of us, every other organ in our body moves out of the way to allow this new foreign body to develop inside us, our bodies would do this for no other condition
- imagine medically inside our body, if anything grows this fast and with this much mass inside our body, it would kill us (think about tumors or viruses, etc) yet our entire system changes and shifts to accommodate our unborn babies, our own systems even protects this baby
- imagine the body actually forms a new organ, naturally (the placenta) inside us to allow this baby to grow and develop inside us


I find it amazing that we are blessed with such miracles, enjoy every moment of your pregnancy in the best way you can, cause the journey goes by very fast...............................
