@ninies, she said she thinks it is a boy, I don't know how I feel as I was hoping for a girl, but my head tells me not to even think about it until I am at least 20 weeks.

I know I will love this baby no matter what, but I just see myself as more of a girl mom than a boy hahaha

Looking back now, I would have told her that I don't want to hear the gender this early, there is just too much room for error, they should not actually do that, you can get your hopes up or crushed and then it is not even correct

@Blou - that is awesome. Look at how perfectly your baby is formed. I am having my 12w4d scan on Friday, cant wait.

I genuinely think it is way too early to see the gender and to be conviced. My gynae only told us with my son at 20 weeks. He said those parts are so super small and he can easily make a mistake at 16 weeks and then at 20 weeks he confirms something else and then we are upset with him. So he does not take any chances. What did she say you are expecting?

@Nikita87, I am so so sorry to hear about your loss, I am crying with you, I know no words will make it better now, but I am sure you will get another BFP soon

I had my scan today, I am 12 weeks and 4 days today, everything looks fine and baby was moving quite a bit, heartbeat still 166 bpm, I have attached a photo, gynae will still confirm test for downsyndrome but she says everything looks fine to her.

I have a question to you ladies who already have children, gynae gave us a guess of what she thinks the gender is, but I thought it was still too early, did any of you have that and was it accurate at 12/13 weeks?

@ MtC, I bet the nausea was terrible, has it subsided now? Good luck for your scan on Thursday and wishing the days fly till then. The scan went very well and baby is healthy with a strong heartbeat. According to the length of the baby it is 4 days behind my initial date. But he said that I ovulated late so the baby is on track and my due date is the 15 March. I am 8w1d today

AFM, nothing else to report all good with no morning sickness yet and I still only want to eat certain foods. This weekend it was Woolies Italian pesto salad and today its toasted cheese and tomato. My throat is a pit scratchy so I am hoping I am not going to start getting a cold.

@ Nikita, I am so very sorry for your loss. It is such a sad time and I will say a pray for you and hubby. Sending you hugs!
