One Child or Two

TripleX you are so right! I had my best friend bury both her parents and she had no sibling to comfort her... she had no one to share her grief with, she had to do all the arrangements herself! And yes one tries to support them as best one can do as a friend but when she turned to me and said " no one understands her grief because they are not burying their mom or dad - they are burying a MIL or FIL or aunt or sister... its a different kind of grief"!

My heart broke for her... and its for that reason that I always feel a child needs a sibling...

TanyaS, good luck. I hope hubby will change his mind soon. I will be 36 in 2 months and is expecting my first. That doesn't leave a lot of time for a second one and makes me a bit nervous of time running out.

hi ladies

when i was growing up wanted one child, 2007 had my 1st born, so this year i realised she is very lonely decided to have number two. You cant believe how happy she bragging she is gonna have a baby sister.

Dear Tanya, I know exactly what you are going through, I was also longing for a second child, I always asked my husband, do you think one day when we have both passed on our daughter will say, Thank you mom and Dad for my Degree or would she prefer a sibling to comfort her. What if your only child marries a only child then then there will never be nieces, nephews or cousins, uncles or aunties. Anyway my husband was adamant that we could never have another baby.. guess what, 7 years later I am 23 weeks pregnant. It was not a choice we had, it just happened, and I promise you I never lost hope. Just hope and believe that if it must it will.

I currently have one child, 23 months and it was always our intention to have another, mainly because we could never imagine having our boy live life without a sibling.

I always wanted 2 or 3 kids, or even 4
But again, i wanted my son to have a sibling than do it for me, thankfully am pregnant now
It used to break my heart when his cousins come to visit when they leave he would cry.
