Gynae in Panorama Mediclinic

Thank you EmJ16 - that was very kind to give the heads-up. I called again, explained that a New Client cancelled her appointment (gave the dates and time) and the receptionist again told me that they are not taking in any new clients.

She referred me to Dr. Karina van Rensburg at Panorama but couldn't tell me whether she was taking in any new clients or whether she was pro-natural. Does anyone have any feedback for her?

I cancelled a new patient appointment with her yesterday - it was for the 26th of November 9am if you want to phone in the morning again and ask if you can't have that spot? I had to end up choosing a doctor at another hospital.

There is also Dr C van Heerden at Milnerton Mediclinic-im not sure if she does deliveries at Panorama though. But she is apparently very good. I have not been to her though. She is also 1 of the dr's who is concerned with the baby and baby, quite abrupt with the dads. But again, that is what I have heard.

Personally I was quite adamant that I want a female gynea, and have all my life only had female gynea. I have never really been happy with them, but just thought I'd be too uncomfortable with a male gynea.
But earlier this year, the female gynea was unavailable, and due to the urgency, I had the procedure done by a male gynea. I then changed over, and am much happier, so perhaps consider changing ....

Yes I had a look at the new new Hospital's facebook page. Unfortunately their website is is not live yet and I wanted to get more info. www.originmaternityhospitals.co.za/

However I emailed them and they send me a a bit more info about their service offerings and their rates. They are currently still getting registered and are in negotiation what Medical Aids would cover. They said that they should officially open in December 2015.

I called Dr Marie Pienaar and the receptionist advised that she has not taken in any new clients for the past 4 years and is not looking at taking any new clients on for a long time.

I heard about the new Maternity hospital, I might do a bit of research and write an article about it on the magazine page of moomie if you gals would like that? I'll make sure to get all the info on the medical aid and what their process will be like.

There is a Maternity hospital opening at Panorama soon. you can find them on facebook, search Origins Maternity Hospital.
There isnt much information available as yet, which is a little disappointing, but I think they are looking at launching sometime now in Nov.

I dont know how the med aid would handle this as compared to a "usual" hospital.
