DD August 2016, any early 2nd Trimester mommies?

Hope u are all well and preparing for the cold front that's supposed to hit us tomorrow.

Soooo glad to find a 2nd trimester group. I am currently 23 weeks preggers. So far so good.

We are having a little boy. Looking forward to all the baby showers coming up. And off course, next months baby expo

Trust everyone is well and the pregnancies are going great.

I just wanted to give advice for who ever will be Breastfeeding.

I am Breastfeeding and I am on day 5 today and I am still asking why people fuss about their nipples bleeding etc. A very old Dr told me to massage my nipples with olive oil. I started massaging my nipples from 30 weeks every night and if I can use the term they are strong. I don't have any cracked or sore nipples.

@Nicz 2 boys! how exciting, I have a feeling that I will also only have boys. You are going to be just fine, it's going to be nice being the queen B of the household.

It's so funny but my bladder infection symptoms are pretty much the same as the one you had. So my labs came back and the doctor said they couldn't isolate any disease causing bacteria. It looks like my body has been fighting off the infection as it flairs up, the cranberry juice is definitely a winner!

How is everyone feeling this week? my cot and compactum finally arrived on Friday so now we can start arranging the baby room

so sorry Ive being quite, just been really busy.

@Kareish, this is my second baby, I have a 4 yr old boy, who has been my complete world.. Im a little nervous but excited about being a mummy of two boys.

Looks like August is all about BOYS ...

I actually haven't started shopping though have been trying to get my house in order first before I start moving the baby furniture in... My symptoms are settling down a bit, having better days and not so good days but its all part of the joys isn't it..

I did also have an upper bladder infection, but in my first trimester, I have to say wasn't not at all fun an also a painful few weeks. My gyne treated it also with antibiotics for I think 5 days, it went away an came back the next week...I just drank cranberry juice like crazy and had to plain yoghurt for the probiotics.. oh an plenty of water... it did eventually settle... Not too sure what brought it on though.... Hope the lab gave you some answers.....


@Leewe.... Im so sorry to hear that... Just try to keep in mind that every pregnancy is different.. and trust that all will be ok..it really shows true strength that you were willing to try again after a trauma such as that.. and I can say I admire you for that.. I will pray for your baby and pregnancy that it goes smoothly and baby is healthy and perfect in everyway..

had a baby in August last year and they passed away three days after.Had an emergency c-section(vertical incision). Now I'm 15 weeks pregnant I have mixed emotions.

Sorry for being so quiet, things have been very very busy! So much to report on!!!

Firstly, welcome Nicz always nice to have more second trimester mums join us. Looks like it is just us 3 for now.

@Carol, yay a little boy!!!! congratulations! wasn't the 16 week scan just the most amazing scan ever?! lol it was my first scan so for me it was the best

Ok so to update you girls on what's been going on lately, I had my 16 week scan last week Friday and we found out it's a little boy my husband was right when he said it is the year of the boy because everyone I know are having boys. So little Kayden will be joining us early August DD is 8th August for now.

Ever since we found out its a boy we have been shopping non stop! I prefer to get as much done now in the second trimester than later on when I'm huge and uncomfortable. So we have bought a cot, compactum, travel system and some clothes already.

Have you girls started shopping yet? Nicz not sure if this is your first one? Carol I'm sure that you are all set with baby #3

As for your symptoms Nicz, I'm sorry that you are having a hard time I must say that some days i have a lot of energy while other days I'm miserably exhausted. last week was the worst! I was exhausted with low blood pressure and horrible pains, when I went to my doctor she picked up that I have a bladder infection. I've been on a short course of antibiotics which helped up until Saturday and now it's back! had to get the lab to check it out so we know how to treat it.

Has this ever happened to you? I've had UTIs before but this seems very different.
