You ladies are lucky.
With my first pregnancy I gained 26kg and lost
the first 13 easily but struggled with the rest.
This time around I am trying to be careful but the weight is pilling on. I am only 18 weeks
preggo but have gained 8kgs already. I am hoping this will slow down as I dont wanna get to the 20s coz I also struggle with weight.

Huggles what time is you appointment?
Ladies in Jozi do you know a place that sells
nice compactums at a reasonable price?

I'm the opposite to you Miggie - I've always struggled with my weight. Was overweight when i fell pregnant and have always struggled to lose. Was so happy when the weight just started falling off without trying at the beginning of my pregnancy :)

I know I will gain weight whilst pregnant and a lot of it will come off again when baby is born. But as I have always tended towards the heavy side I just want to try and be careful not to gain too much unnecessary weight. (they do say the heavier you are when you fall pregnant the less weight you should gain in your pregnancy)

Hey miggie,

I've picked up 3.2kg so far. I lost weight in the beginning - almost 6kg! Then we went on holiday for 2 weeks and when we came back i'd gained 2kg. We didn't eat very well though so i doubt very much it was all baby. Then for the last 2 weeks i've gained 600g per week.

I figured that sounded like a good normal weekly weight gain until i worked out that if i continue to gain 600g per week for the next 20 weeks it adds up to 10kg! But we have been eating a fair amount of junk food these past 2 weeks - lot's of parties - so perhaps i should just cut down on the junk food and see what happens.
