file Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

Shame Huggles don't panic it's just not going to happen like that, it's just unconsciously working on you! It is funny though :silly:

Thanks for sharing cause it's like horrible thinking that there is something wrong with LO because he is not moving as much as I want him to and it's worst being alone and to make it worst I am to scared to tell hubby that I feel sad cause I don't feel anything cause I don't want him to worry or he's the type that will load me in the car and rush to hospital just because things are not going my way! lol But I feel so much better I read on the August mommy thread as well and there is mommy’s that's 23 weeks that still only get the flutters and that there is sometimes days that go by that they do not feel anything and then just all of a sudden they feel their LO's. Should also say that sitting at my desk this morning I felt LO a few times already today, I think I’ve been to busy this weekend and didn’t realize any movement because I did not sit still long enough to actually feel anything?

Thanks for the reply much appreciated.

Hey Natsie,

Your not alone - i'm also at work today :( Had a 2 week holiday recently and so want to keep what little annual leave i have left for when baby is due so decided to come into the office today. Very quiet here though, hoping we get sent home early.

I also only feel flutters, not real definite kicks or anything, but i'm only almost 19 weeks so i guess i just need to wait a bit longer.

I had such a weird dream last night - if it was like less than a month to the birth i could understand it but it seems a bit early to be having that type of dream already. I dreamt i was at a party with friends and i had just had my baby a few days earlier (like 4 or 5 days earlier). I handed off my baby to my cousin (at the party) and she promptly gave baby a bottle and then i disappeared and forgot about baby. Later that evening i suddenly remembered him and went looking for him and found my cousin (in her clothes) in the bath bathing baby (in his clothes) - only he could already stand!? Then i was stressing cos i realised i'd given him a bottle and a dummy and hadn't yet actually sterilised them. Then i realised he was hungry again so decided to go sterilise a bottle quickly and find someone with formula that i could use (i didn't have any) but then i remembered i actually wanted to breastfeed (I hadn't acutally fed my baby since his birth!!!) so i took him out hte bath and went to a room and started trying to breastfeed but he kept telling me (like how could he speak already?!?!) that the milk tasted different and went down his throat strangely!. And i didn't have a breastfeeding bra so had to undo my normal bra and i didn't have breastpads so the milk was leaking everywhere.

It was so strange, like suddenly i was panicking cos baby was here already and i totally wasn't ready or prepared.

Morning all

Should have known it was too good to be true, no long weekend for me... Sitting at work and fighing with everyone in my head.

How are all of you today? Other than working I’m ok. Got all these crazy thoughts rushing through my head not feeling so pregnant anymore and that is scaring me, also imagining that I'm not feeling Micah moving anymore oh me oh my it's crazy, I am feeling some flutters every now and then but goodness I'm 21 weeks already one would think there should be a bit more than just these little flutters? What do you think am I exaggerating or what?

Saw a girl that went to school with me yesterday she is 8 months pregnant wow I thought I was pregnant you should have seen her, look like she is about to explode goodness.

Have a great day and rest if you can.

Hugs

Just be careful what exercise you do. It was a very specific thing she showed me to do to realign my hips. I had tried just plain stretching etc and it just wasn't working.

What the biokineticist showed me to do (i'll try explain best i can) was the following, but i can't guarantee it'll work cos if your hips are not out of line it might make it worse:

lie on your back on the floor or on your bed (provided your mattress is not too soft). Lift you legs to a 45 degree angle so your thighs are straight up and your calves are parallel to the floor.

Put the palm of your one hand on the front of hte knee which is on the side there IS pain, and put your other hand behind the knee that is on the side where there's NO pain.

Now at the same time push your legs against your hands using your hands as resistance (so you will be pushing your legs in opposite directions, one towards you and one away). They should not move just apply pressure with your legs and resistance with your hands.

You should sort of feel your hips "moving" - not really but you can feel that that is where the pressure is going.

I really hope this helps and doesn't make it worse. If it feels worse at all then stop immediately cos you might either be doing something wrong or it might be a different problem. I found after 2 days when the pain was better if i did this same exercise more it actually made it worse again so i think i was then shifting my hips out of line again, so be careful!

It could be any number of things Mama_M - best to see your doctor, even if it's just the GP.

My cousin was telling me the other day that when she was pregnant she suddenly got this terrible pain in her back that had her crawling around on the floor on all fours crying out in pain. The doctor then told her it was either IBS or kidney stones.

I on the other hand for about 3 weeks had a sharp muscle main in my back, kind of more in my left buttocks - not quite the hip but almost. Was really painful sitting and walking was tough - but was definitely muscular. Asked a biokineticist here at work and she had a look and said my one hip and gone higher than the other. So she gave me some exercises to correct it and 2 days later the pain was gone!

And i'm sure there's a whole host of other things that it could be as well so i really think it would be best to ask a doctor, even if it's just the GP.

Hope it gets sorted out soon!
