Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

last week I was 28 weeks and baby weighs 1.299

so I will say 1.3kg. I will have to do another test for 100mg then she will take it from there....

I am praying I dont have it, I dont want to inject myself twice a day

receptionist said it just happens and that my body is not using the sugar the way it should, nothing I did to myself.

it is not always caused from bad eating. it is called gestational diabetes because it is caused my pregnancy and generally as soon as baby is out, you will not longer have the condition.

generally these babies are bigger than average and there is a chance you will need to have a c-section at 38 weeks. you can ask to be induced at this time too, but if your cervix is not ready, the induction usually fails you you go for c-section anyway.

how much does baby weigh now?
you will also need to eat a diabetic diet with a chance of needing to inject yourself with insulin twice daily

it is cold today, bed weather

advice please, I had my 28 week diabetes test done on saturday, and gor results now, was a fasting test 10-10 next morning, two bloods

they are 10.5 instead of 8

now she wants me to do another fasting glucose test and that would only be saturday morning as you have to stay at the lab for 2.5 hours and cant leave. if it is still high then I have gestational diabetes. cause she is doing a 100mg one sat instead of the 50mg i did on saturday....

I am so worried, cause I dont eat badly or drink loads of sugar etc. receptionist said it just happens in women during pregnancy.

i read about it now on the net and it can be bad if not treated well....I wish the doc could call me and explain to me what it is exactly, now i think maybe baby is too big etc....

anyone had this ?

Morning ladies

It is sooooo cold today, and traffic was horrible. It took me an hour to get to work, and I stay only 10km from work. But I had to stop half way for a wee

Natsie - I agree with Kerry. Just focus on yourself ...this is your time and maybe she just doesn't like the attention you are getting because of your pg.No - one should have to tell you what your baby's name should be!
