Makaozie - I decided against a 3D/4D scan as it jsut freaks me out so I'll wait a few more weeks to see exactly what baba looks like

Kerry & Ginah - enjoy your scans, it def is quite scary how close we all are now!!

Sher - holding thumbs that all is fine with you and bubs. As Meags said it's just one of those things that can happen and you have no control over it


AFM - I'm 33wk now
Went to sort out my registry over the weekend - shopping without paying - the best thing eva!!!
I literally put in everything I want, need, might use - filled 2 trolleys for goodness sake! (but it was quite funny cos my friend went with me and she ended up putting in most of the stuff - some things I didn't even know what they are for!)

Makaozie - don't stress, the 4D scan is just for fun and to get a look at baby, in fact they make you sign a form before you go in stating that you are aware that the scan is not intended to pick up any medical problems and that the scan is for "entertainment" only. So there really is no need. The reason i would assume most of us are going is because those of us using netcare get the scan for free



I go for a checkup on friday! I am really looking forward to it!

I am all excited coz I am seeing baby Zakumi tomorrow for my 30week scan, cant wait. Who ever thought i have about 8weeks to go. Will also shop for my hospital bag coz time is running out now.

MakaOzie I am not getting a 4D scan done coz my dr has a machine which can do 2d and 3d. I think if you have done your fetal assessment a 4D scan would be for fun. Just to get a clearer view of your baby. If you are going to a Netcare you get this for free.

Its been a while, ths forum is gvn me a hard time to open.
I c there's a lot 2 catch up on, so I'll just comment as time goes
I went for my scan yesterday (31wks) and baby weighs 1.9 kg and I've gained 10kg since the 1st month.
Was soo happy 2 c her, her head is facing down already (guess its almost time hey!)

Ow the lady at reseption suggested I book a 4d scan soon, tell me hw important is having one? M asking cz iv ran out of my medical savings n don't wanna b waisting 2 much money on unneccesary things. And what happens during that scan?

yip my friend's baby at 28 weeks was also about 1,2kg and she also says baby is average so for now all is looking good hang in there

exactly, there is nothing you can do to prevent getting gestational diabetes, it is something that can occur in pregnany! so dont blame yourself.
