O.k Julz, Ally shoot me down if you wish but I am sitting on the fence on the whole vuvuzella nonsense.
I have a child who sits outside my F'ing gate day and night blowing that flippin thing with absolutely no rythym or rhyme it's simply 'vu vu vuvuvu vuuuuuu' and it's getting pretty flippin irritating! My dogs are going spastic because they have no idea what it is but they don't like it one bit. When my dogs bark at the gate this boy thinks it's hillarious to blow harder and closer to the gate. If this continues for a whole month and beyond I may just strangle someone! My child is not sleeping very well during the day either because of the vuvuzella blowing or the dogs barking at the vuvuzella. My DH has the TV turned so loud to cover the constant noise I actually can't watch because it makes me feel sick. So ja, my vote goes to banning VuVuzellas from residential areas with immediate effect!
It's not that I don't embrace the world cup, I fly a flag on my car (obviously England) my child will wear his England fleece for their games and has a green and yellow poncho for the bafana bafana days. I'll watch some of the matches (England and Bafana at least) but there comes a point where some people don't want to hear everything is about the world cup. I like to watch my evening news except now it is about nothing but the world cup for a full 30min, I want to hear other stuff too! Flip that kid is irritating me as I type!!!!!!!!
Anyways,
Lisha- I used the Vermox for C at 1 year, can't say I noticed a difference in anything but at least it was done.
Julz- I'm weary to give C synthetic iron, I have a hideous allergy and I would hate to see how it might affect him. I will try to give him some more iron rich foods, generally he eats a lot of red meat which should support the iron levels. He's eating lots of food too, I'm amazed how his appetite suddenly picked up so I thought that would help. I am so lost! I'm going to try changing the bedtime routine, actually now I think about it, since he went to 1 nap a day he's not sleeping through.......
C seems to FINALLY be saying words, probably way behind most of your kids but I was proud, yesterday he says 'more' and 'bye' and 'bike' but not like 'ike' or 'eye' he is actually pronouncing the word 100% perfect. He understands everything i say so I wonder if he's just waiting til he can pronounce the words properly? I think he also struggles a bit because Elwyn speaks to him in Afrikaans so he's still trying to figure out which word to use at the right time.
