You've got plenty time to get used to the idea of baby being a boy and I'm sure you will be very excited about it before he arrives or even once he gets here. You're just experiencing emotions that any other mom may feel so don't beat yourself up.

The party boxes sounds so cute ... sure it will all look absolutely stunning.
So decided to give Shrey the choice of birthday party theme. Gave him the options of Lightening McQueen, KungFu Panda & Jake & the Pirates which he's just started getting hooked on now. The silly boy said no he wants Dora lol he agreed to Diego once dh & I composed ourselves.

Nicole the weather sounds bad in East London. Is it better today? Shame man wonder why K is so restless at night. We used the Rescue Remedy one night for Shrey when we were overseas because he just would not settle and cried a lot. Worked like a bomb.

AFM had a nice evening with my sister & bil. Got mutton bunny's for supper but it was the most disappointing we've ever had.
Shrey was good, fell asleep by 8:30 and me not to long after that.
Did a load of laundry too so had to hang some up this morning and what could go in the tumble dryer did. Getting spoiled with mom being around but don't want everything a mess when she gets back.

Hi ladies

Our office was closed yesterday because the roads were so hectic again, another flood for us!! It was scary seeing cars floating in water etc, our one Malls bottom floor is completely damaged, there was ice the size of bricks laying everywhere, tree's blown down...very scary.

afm, all is well, K was difficult yesterday, refusing a nap etc so he was fast asleep by 18:10 but he was so restless last night. I think i am going to give rescue remedy a try because it seems that he does not go into a deep sleep, if i touch his face while he is sleeping he will wake up etc, and he also wakes up anywhere between 2 - 4 times a night, wakes up from dreams alot etc.

Ally...risotto...my fave! I am just soooo lazy to bake the butternut first! I steam it and then brown it for like 10 minutes in oven...lol. Lazy version!!

Helen...lol @ Oliver. I think you're spot on! He is just taking it all in...and he is deciding when he is ready to spill all those words he has been saving. I've seen with Addison...she was trying to use the word 'completely' the other day....and shame she was saying...'oh look its wet outside...the rain...completely....the rain....' And my mom said she could see Addison just needed an example on how to use the word. So my mom told her: The rain completely covered the grass with water! (something like that). And immediately she smiled and repeated....like a lightbulb went on. I have seen she definately saves words to use later....so I reckon that is what Oliver is doing...just on a more extreme level to really shock the pants off you:)

Hope Nina's cold goes away asap!

My child wakes up around 6:30am....sometimes just after 6am...and SINGS EVERY MORNING!! like she is freakin auditioning for pop idol or something! lol. I love her to bits....but I ask her to please save the singing and lion roars for when we are all awake!

People say I sound so happy now on the phone...lol. its amazing what getting out of prison can do for one hey???

Okay guys...so this boy thing still needs to grow on me a bit more. A friend brought me 2 tops for a boy...and it was SO WEIRD seeing these boy tops and thinking they're for my child!! I feel HORRIBLE that I am taking so long to get around this....I am happy...I rub my tummy and hum to him, but it still feels so surreal!!

My friend is planning Addison's party for me...and I'm really so excited. Found a great online place that has the cutest party boxes in the shape of a handbag with minnie and daisy duck on it?? So going to order those at some point. Then my sister is already planning my shower....I hate planning things so early...even with getting that gift today....dont know...just feels so presumptious....just makes me nervous?? But all the planning also very exciting.

Mandy I forgot the date that you go for the amnio...is it next week or possibly this week? Glad you're spending time with the family! You must be happy:)

Need to head to the baby haven soon to take pics for a local publication. I burst into tears this morning as they just got a baby that is now 14 days old I can't fathom how people have kids and just throw them away....it was so sad for me....

Thanks! I'm feeling rather shit still but went to the dr. The twins have a mild case of Croup (!?!) that they most likely caught from my nephew as he is in school. Got augmentin, cough mixture and sinuclear syrup for them and the doc gave me VERY strong antibiotics, only 3 tablets so hopefully it will knock this flu right out of me.

Hehe Helen, Oliver sounds so cute. I'm getting scared for the twins language development now! They are talking in english and afrikaans, they count in spanish (DORA!!) and say Ni Hau (from the chinese show on nick)...it will either be VERY good for their development or very bad lol.

They both count to 20 now and to 10 in Afrikaans and Spanish. I'm amazed every day at the stuff they say. This is definitely my favourite age.

Lisha, potato & leek soup sounds divine! We're having baked butternut risotto with pine nuts tonight. I need comfort food. Our dinner last night was relatively healthy so I don't feel TOO guilty about tonight's.

I'm getting a bit nervous about this meeting but then again, they must already like the idea or else they wouldn't want a meeting and the document I'm taking with looks SO professional. C designed it like a real cookbook (this man surprises me every day) and I've included 6 recipes and about 10 photo's as they wanted to see more of my photography. But of course you lot will be the first to know how it went!
