Oct/Nov 2008 mommies!

Good Morning

I have not read all the post, was away last week. Went to visit MIL, we do not say at her house, because I can not stand the SIL, and MIL stays with her, so we booked into a small guest house and MIL came to stay with us.
Popped my knee out while we where at the spur last week, luckily I could get it back and it healed quickly.
Went for a 3 d scan on Saturday, our little girl is growing nicely, she is about 1.6kg and measures about 2 weeks in advance, but that is nice.
I have put in my maternity leave, and will work until the 16th of Sep, our LG is due 19 Sep, I know i am taking a risk, but my work understands and I want to work as long as I can, I also did the same with W, I stopped working the 22nd, he was due the 25th and he was born on the 28th.
I got a cold, and my nose is very blocked, can not breath through it.

William loved the scan, he was interested for about 10 min, and then he lost interest, but he talked to his little sister last night, so it was very cute.

Julz - glad your trip has been so enjoyable and so far, quite successful, holding thumbs that all continues and you have a safe flight home!

Christi - hope you go after some interviews urgently while you can hide your bop, and then dont say a word if they dont ask, not even about if you want more kids, they cant legally ask you and infact, if you can take a company to court for asking you that in an interview, and it is classed under unfair dismissal even if they havent offered you the position if you can prove it! My dad was telling me this week end!! the sharks!

So the wheels fell off with Cameron last night . He screamed for 2 solid hours, from 10pm - 12 and then woke up 3 more times during the night.. with my dad visiting this week end, it was rather difficult with him trying to sleep, so we kept going in not the best.. Anyhoo - my dad said I really have to start putting my foot down about Cam NEEDING me all the time. He says I have to get stricter and if I am busy, MAKE HIM WAIT.. he is not a baby anymore but he wants to hold my attention every second of every day and wont play on his own STILL at all.. its MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY. I think he is right.. I feel like i have to reject him to help him... its gonna be hard, but i have to try to be more strict as its bordering on rediculous and I would like to have a small part of a life back. In a way i think having another baby will help me SNAP out of it, reality is that your child doesnt NEED your attention all the time, they need to learn to play and interact with the world and its TIME he learned that unfortunately from me!!

Christi wow from the sounds of it you are still super tiny. Was it the same with first pregnancy?

Simone sorry about Addy's incident at JD's. Hope it doesn't scare her off the play areas now. Last week Shrey was being hit on the head with the car by our friends 3 & half year old, he was so shokced so just looked at the other kid. He's also not exposed to hitting etc with other kids so think he was completely startled. I do hope both our kids toughen up and learn to fight back when they get to school, sure they'll figure it out though. fxfxfxfxfx

AFM had a quiet weekend. Not liking the cold too much but sure all of you have it worse being in colder parts of the country.
Shrey is good ... being cute and mischevious all at the same time. He locked me out of the house yesterday when I went to hang up clothes of the line ... fortunately dh was home.
Mum is away till Thursday at the Wild Coast so going to be lots for me to do in the evenings ... no retiring to bed at 8:30 to wacth tv lol. And next week mil is going to Mauritius for a week but that we can live with cos home will still be sorted.

Now I am starving ... time for some coffee and biscuits.

Oh yes going to do tax return submission early this year since I'm expecting a refund for a change

Sorry really behind in reading posts so I hope I will catch up when I get home. Last day in Delhi and then off to the airport at 1 in the morning for a very early flight home. I will land tomorrow late afternoon.

Nelria, although I feel like I've gotten HUGE during the past week, the pregnancy still isn't noticable when I'm dressed in normal winter clothing. And I'm not wearing any pregnancy clothing yet except the Yummy Mummy Tummy thingies to keep my pants up as wearing a belt have become too uncomfortable

Re: fighting...I think with my own kids I'd be like...knock yourselves out! Lol. Like my brother and I used to fight as kids. My dad sometimes used to fetch a knife and tell us to finish each other off. Lol. His reverse psychology usually used to work and we'd be best friends afterwards! a

Mandy, I am so happy you're staying so positive. I hope this story doesn't upset you in anyway but I just want to share it with you to show that what will happen, will happen. My aunt was told at 15 weeks that her baby was SEVERELY disabled. She is incredibly religious and decided that she wouldn't terminate because she feels like God will not give her something she can't handle and so she went against 4 doctors recommendations to carry on with the pregnancy and at 21 weeks she miscarried naturally. Then with her third pregnancy the same thing happened. She decided to stick it out and her baby was 100% fine at the end. The doctors were completely wrong and my cousin is now 18!

I think an Amnio is a good idea if you've got that risk. My friend who was 23 when she fell pregnant was told after bloods there was a risk for her baby being downs and after FS the dr said the baby is 100%, I'm sure it's going to be the same with yoU!

Simone, sorry about incident. I have to be honest, the twins fight so much I don't even interfere anymore BUT if another child had to hit my child I would seriously freak out.

I'm feeling like death this morning. The twins are both sick and my airway feels inflamed. But I'm going to overdose myself with 4flu and corenza c, I can't be sick this week!!! I missed a week of gym this week because of a pinched nerve, so I can't afford to miss another week!
