Oct/Nov 2008 mommies!

Angie, the twins only recently started saying a lot of words. For very long Abi only spoke baby language but she used to watch our mouths alot when we spoke and then she just started repeating.

My nephew only started speaking closer to 2 and he speaks really well now (he's 3). He speaks very clearly and has a good vocab. My cousin who is 5 started speaking quite early and we can hardly understand what she's saying now still. She mumbles a lot.

Julz, my dad opted for the R70 000 kitchen because of the quality of the taps and the granite he wanted was more expensive. It goes with the cherrywood cupboards which was also more expensive. The 25 000 kitchen had melamine cupboards with dark wood sheets like glued onto it. But with the appliances and stuff it also almost came to R100 000. Ridiculous! Just for a kitchen? But it is very nice and I don't know how I'm ever going to cook in another kitchen, the layout is perfect for me. although I would've loved an island in the middle.

Nelria, the lunch was lovely. The twins loved it there and chased the birds and the bunnies. But they kept wanting to go up to the deck so I ran around a bit. Was only there for 2 hours though.

I want to go look for a play golf set for Aidan. He now uses my hand mirror and a mini soccer ball and plays golf like that lol. And what's so funny is he figured it out by himself. We never showed him. And yesterday we see that he jumps up. I never knew he could do that. I read in my toddler book that they're only meant to be doing that at like 2 1/2 so I was quite chuffed!

I must say all your little ones are talking very much if I look at your posts, CJ is still using a lot of baby talk, although he really has a conversation with us sometimes but we can hardly understand what he says. He says - mama, papa, kyk daar, ta, eina, kar, duce (for our dog bruce) and that's about that! I am not too worried about it though, as he absolutely understands everything and beacause he is talking a lot with baby talk, I am sure he will soon start talking like a big boy. Sometimes boys are a bit lazy with talking and then one day out of the blue they start talking - I've seen this in my practice with a lot of little ones!
Julz - sooo cute Dylan knows where the naughty corner is.
Ladies, I have a issue with CJ's nap time during the day - he used to sleep from about 12:00 - 14:00, now all of a sudden the nanny says she cannot get him to sleep before 14:00 or 14:30, which is very late for me, he then only wakes up at 16:00 - 16:30, and he wakes up groggy, and then at night he only gets into bed at around 9:00, which is late for him.
Any advice on how I can get him to sleep earlier in the day?

Last night Neil said to Dylan that if he doesn't stop his nonsense he must go to the naughty corner. They were in the study. Dylan came through walked past me and sat down in the naughty corner by himself. Neil felt really bad.

I am taking Addy for 15m shots on Monday! So behind!!!! Does anybody know of free emergency immunisations the kids are getting? I am not sure if only in PE...but i heard only at public clinics.

Julz Addy also has really snotty nose for first time...no other symptoms. What do i do? Lisha is right...your kitchen does sound nice...i just want a lovely walk in closet one day, lovely bathroom...and stunning kitchen...we can dream!

afm - Addy was awake at freakin 5am! calling eina eina...so i thought she was looking for attention...so i blew kiss. She then still said eina eina over and over..and i looked up and saw her thumb was stuck in elastic cuff of nightie. Shame man...so i took it out for her. So i said..mama wants to dudu...so she says: Dudu? shhh...shhh (waving finger at me). I thought...CUTE! Then i thought...crap! When i get annoyed with her in morning....i go ADDY SHHHH!!! (VERY LOUDLY with my finger on my lips)...and guess who remembers. I need to be more patient with my child!

Oh so cute....out of the blue yesterday i ask Addy...where is Cynthia? She says: Cyntha home!
