oh dear, Helen, Im also late, I didnt go onto facebook yesterday ! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ha ha, oliver is so funny with his chipmunk cheeks! The things they do!

About houses, we own a duplex, but we both want a house now.. but we chatted last week and I suggested that because we want another baby, we should stay where we are and build a third bedroom on for the new baby and stay for another 2 - 3years. Then when we have managed to settle into a 4 person family and all the costs that go along with it, THEN we can find a house.

So Marc new job has had its not so nice surprises. He starts at 8am but has to leave at 06h45, not toooo bad, BUT he only finishes at 7pm everyday! BUMMER! and then only gets home about 19h30, 20h00..

also, everymorning this week since he started, Marc gets up and runs down stairs to play his game on his laptop!!!! and I get dressed in 15minutes as usual and then go into Camerons room to get him ready... So I say to Marc last night before bed, how about you get Cameron ready tomorrow, since I do bath time everynight and dinner and take and collect him from school?? so he looses his cool and says he has to leave really early everyday!!!! so as I went to bed, i Said, Whatever, it would be nice for you to get him up now and then , now that you are actually here in the mornings! So I assume he wont do it and I get up and rush to get ready, and then marc goes to get cam and gets him ready!!! ( it would have been nice for him to tell me so that I could have had a lie in, but i was very very pleased that he helped!

Morning all,

Christi- so please iris ate yesterday, she'll get better with the drinking!

We have done everyting ourselfs in our house, don't believe in using over priced contractors. The kitchen we will do ourselves, we have solid wood doors on the cubbords so we will keep those and save a bit there but we want granite tops and a huge gas stove so we will spend more money there. The kitchen works fine as it is, it's just not my style so we'll only do it up when cash flow is better. I do want to get a cheapie freestanding gas cooker though for when we get black outs and also it's a lot cheaper than cooking on electric.

Ally- wow that's a lot of money but your kitchen is very nice! A lot of the money lays in the granite!

Simone- love the slipper story!

I need to go get pampers urgently, I have about 2 nights supply. Will phone around for prices before I get in the car though, can't be assed driving everywhere today.

What can I do with boerewors? Last night I made pap & wors for dinner because it was easy but I had to take a huge coil out the freezer so I split it in 2 so I have un cooked left over wors to use tonight, any ideas please ladies?

Morning ladies

Happy Birthday, Helen! So sorry I’m late but rather late than never, hey! Just want to wish you an awesome year …

Zamzie, soooooooooooo glad everything is well with baby.

Lelani, still haven’t logged onto FB but can’t wait to see the pics of the new house.
The kids are going to love it there.

Vix, my bday is only in July. The 10th and yes it is the big 30 … Yay on C and the potty! I put Z’s toy monkey on the potty yesterday and told her he “piepied” She was very interested LOL

Simone, holding thumbs for a stunning new job! And Addy looks darling in her lovely dress.

Lisha, hope the suppers works out well for you guys! I’m making Ally’s Dijon chicken again tonight! Very easy and quick …

Christi, glad Iris had a better day! Shame on the drinking though…

Nicole, cute about the “gran” word!

Thank you for all the tips for the article, finally managed enough words!

About sleeping, when Z now wakes up in the night she just wants to go to our bed. She shows me with her finger and then screams hysterically. I’ve tried putting her back in her cot then but she is just inconsolable then … Any advice?

We are getting electric fencing next week, bad to fork out the money when there is so much else to pay and do but we are getting increasingly nervous there so I guess it is a must for further peace of mind.

Before I go to bed I just wanted to tell you guys about kitchens. When my dad redid ours like 4 years ago, he got about 25 quotes from different people and the cheapest was R25 000. That included all the cupboards, new oven, gas stove, hob and the granite surfaces but how ridiculous is that? He still had to buy a new fridge and dishwasher and pay for all the tiling!

Hi Ladies,

Today Iris was a bit better, apparently she ate quite a lot (the day mom let her feed herself as I told her what I noticed last night at home). SHe still refused to drink anything during the day, only had about 30mls of milk I expressed. Oh, and she slept 20mins opposed to 15mins yesterday. She has been fast asleep since 8pm so I've been doing some washing and catching up on moomie.

Vix, have you thought about doing your kitchen yourselves? When we fixed up the flat here at the house we got quotes for the kitchen and a closet in the bedroom and in the end I did the designing myself we got the wood from builders (had it cut & edged there) and then had some bonding time building and installing everything... AND best of all it cost us less than half what we were quoted and the cupboards we installed ourselves are way stronger than the ones usually installed by contractors.

Simone, so cute re slippers.

Zamzie, glad to hear everything is fine!!

Ok, gotta go now, enjoy your evening ladies.

Vix kitchen's are so expensive to do hey?? But u guys will get there. My biggest thing now has been....when will we be able to buy a house if I'm not working!

Helen hope u have a good evening!

I was cooking supper so I asked Addy to fetch my slippers....so dh followed her cause he hasn't seen her fetch them yet. So I have 2 pairs...one striped and one cream. Gerard says she had one of each in her hand...looked at it, shook her head and put one down to get a matching pair! he was shocked! I thought it was quite cute as well!

Gerard asked for red velvet cupcakes...we went to checkers to get buttermilk...get home and realise I have no cocoa....bummer!

Oh HUGGIES gold jumbo packs R167,99 and FG milk R11,95 at checkers.

Zamzie- so so pleased everything is o.k! It must have been a relief to see the heart beating! Are you going to stay with that gynae now or will you go back to your regular one?

Simone- cute pics! It seems our PE Girls are advanced in many areas! Must be something in the water!

Helen- I hope your evening is nice!

Elwyn bought our house 5 years ago just before we met and we have been slowly doing it up. We finally have everything done now except the kitchen. Our most expensive project and it will have to wait a little longer now we're having kids. These things take time but are well worth it in the end.

Zamzie- email me your number, I have your email address but can't find your number.
