Mandy- yes bloods are pretty accurate it's the Dr's interpretation that may not be, it could be that the levels were very low and on CD34 he may be concerned that it could be a MC etc and therefore will tell the patient to re test because it's not positive, however being that it was the P he may not have enough information on Simone's lengthy cycles. Chances are she did ovulate later than expected and levels are still low (just like you and your early testing, your bloods said neg yet you had + HPT and a week later you're confirmed preggers) I just thought seeing as you litterally just experienced the whole false neg bloods thing you might have also considered that in Simones case too. In theory she's not testing early but if she ovulated late un knowingly then chances are she has tested early. Anyways we'll wait and see the outcome. I've seen a lot of funny results both ways with friends during my TTC journey.

I'm sure you could do with some nice comfy clothes now you're preggers, I agree with Zee, cute ticker, are you feeling like it's a girl? I see you went for a pink ticker.

Simone- you know how I feel about your continuous + HPT's, I say as long as AF doesn't arrive you can safely ride out the next 3-4w and go visit your gynae for a scan about 7-8w to check for a little heartbeat. Like I said earlier, doing another blood test next week won't make you any more or less pregnant it just might give you a bit more confirmation or could even mess with your mind some more. I must say you seem to have good patience so if you can just wait it out I think that will be best. A +HPT is about as conclusive a +bloods at this stage, you can't get a +HPT unless you have HCG in your body which clearly you do and implantation should long have happend by now so try to relax and think positively, I'm still a big believer that positive thought reap positive results.

Addy sounds so cute, these kids imaginations are amazing at the moment, C put on dinosour socks this morning and kept shouting "ouch ouch Dinosour bite you ouch ouch" LOL ithen we watched nat geo wild and he was screaming everytime he saw a snake shouting "snake bite you eina!!!". I love it it's so muxh fun

Goodness Addy is making me laugh. She has this alphabet singing caterpillar named Edison. Today she says her catterpliiar is thirsty and dips her fingers in her water to put in Edison's mouth. Then she went to her dad with edison now, very serious: ' daddy my caterpillar is hungry. He wants to eat foodie.'. Dad of course ignored her now she's feeding him rice crackers. Lol

Mandy woolies has nice undies. I got a lovely bra and matching panty for R120 and R65. I spent about R1000 on new undies the last month. And then G bought me a jersey dress, a cardigan (are they called waterfall?) And a pair of tights to go with dress from Truworths...R900. Soooo maybe focus on on area of your wardrobe first.lol. I still need stacks of warm tops, pj's and shoes. Heaven alone knows where I'll get the cash:-(

Hey, Simone i am certainly still hopeful that you could be preggers.. so lets wait with baited breath!! and if you are not you are not, but do think you might just have to wait and see from your funny longer cycles before the glocophage

Vix - you too, I really understand that need for clothes and you have waited for a long time with your body shape completely changing over and over in the last 3 years ..

Im also in desperate need of clothes but luckily with cameron not doing swimming in winter thats R280 and then i have been saving for a september holiday and will skip one month of savings of R400 to go and find stuff for R680. Cant get a lot for winter with that.. especially since i need underwear, pants, jerseys and in desperate need for SHOES! but its a start..

Took Cam with a loaf of bread to Zoo lake to feed the ducks and we had a brisk walk and got some fresh air until he was so tired that he slept for 3 glorious hours.. when he woke up we had a happy well rested child and played outside for hours

anyhoo, have some nice woolies soup for supper so hope you are all snuggling up with kiddies and hubbies tonight in this chilly weather!

Vix I appreciate your positive vibe and words for my situation. Its been a difficult week for me and I think Vix is being so encouraging to me, she maybe (I could be wrong) would have preferred some more positivity? Vix is that it?

I'm going to be honest with u all, and maybe this sounds naïve to some of you, but I'm still hoping I'm pregnant. I almost puked last week because G wore his normal aftershave to bed. He had to wash his face. I've been nauseas for a few days. Easter was hell cause the fish smell drove me crazy. My nipples are sore and when squeezed milky liquid came out today.

I've taken 3 different brands of tests and all been positive.

Now I'm not sure if my body is punking me, but I also 'feel' like I am pregnant. I'm on CD36/ CD37 with no sign of AF. I know one cycle it seemed I ovulate around CD21...so bloods on day 34 could very well have been too early.

I'm honestly not sure why I keep getting + hpt's if I am really not preggies. Perhaps some of u have some suggestions?

If I'm not pregnant, fine...its been 8/9m already...what's a few more? Lol. But I am still hopeful.

Some of u gals have been a rock to me and I know we'll cry together at the end of this cycle iF I really am not preggies!

However I do know nobody wants to be guilty of giving me false hope if u feel that its a lost cause and bloods are the be all and end all.

Okay enough about me...

Vix I remember the promise of your new clothes:-( that sucks so much! If I were u I'd say put dstv off for 2m and let me have that cash. I've said it before...u way too selfless:-( flip woman...15kgs???? *sigh* pregnancy obviously agrees with u!!!! I love telling people my friend with twins only put on 0.2gms in her pregnancy and now lighter than before!!!

Zee hope u rest a bit...tell hubby he MUST watch Zee when he gets home!hopefully she goes down for a nap so u can relax.

Mandy how many more days to your PE trip? I imagine now its a double pleasure to come...support your sister and introduce the bean in your tummy to the family:-)

Hope you are enjoying the Sunday, I’m not feeling that good, got heavy tummy cramps so just want to lie down. Not very pleased with DH as he is enjoying his lovely little day of me time at the RC track and is still not home, thought he could keep Z busy so that I can have a nap, but jaaaaa ... At least I had a productive morning, I marked all of her clothes for the crèche. Still trying to get her excited for it – I’m a real cheerleader for the darn school.

Any hoo, Vix, I meant to say you look as if you’ve had no children, you really look good and so does Helen. Hope I’ll shed the kilo’s that easy ... Hope you’ll find the money somewhere to spoil yourself for a change. Men can really be so inconsiderate and the TV for you? That is a joke! DH also recently got a flat screen and Playstation 3 for “all of us” ...

On the testing thing, with this pregnancy I also “felt” pregnant (like you Mandy!) and then the test showed negative so I decided to wait another week and then tested again and got my positive. I guess we like the blood tests because it feels more conclusive and “safe” I think! Holding thumbs for Simone ...

Oh yes, about the Chinese chart, I’ve got the gender chart at work and that one didn’t require the Chinese age. You just look at your age and the month of conception. It was spot on for me but I know it hasn’t been that way for few of the gals here.
